well, not all meats sold in metro manila passed through meat inspection...so why worry.

adobong sawa sa pampanga hindi ko naman alam late na nila sinabi :sick: i swear natulala ako....way back sa province namin yung uncle ko hilig manghuli ng bayawak tsaka palakang bukid...naging favorite ko yun....

If ur in makati and sometimes kumakain kayo sa jolijeep, baka na-experience nyo na kumain ng matang baka with sabaw or utak ng baka na may sabaw.... sarap po nito with matching longanisa and fried rice.

Cabalen serves frog and locust - I'm not Kapampangan so these are exotic to me.

1. Carabeef

Sa Samar and Leyte most stews served here uses Carabeef (Meat ng Kalabaw).

You seldom or do not at all find beef.

 

2. Red Rice

In Samar, Bohol, Leyte and Cebu you get to choose RED rice (unpolished rice) apart from the usual white rice.

 

3. Star Rice

In Cebu, most food stalls also serve STAR Rice (Rice with Star Margarine) making it yellow in color.

 

4. Soup No. 5 sa Chan Kee in Binondo, Go Kong - Made up of Testes of a goat tenderized through boiling with chinese herbs and spices. It is believed to be an aphrodisiac and energy soup.

 

5. in Southern Leyte, they serve Halo-halo (yes our usual summer treat) with cooked MACARONI.
