I think the reason he signed with SF is he was hoping for a rematch with Silva but Dana had other plans Quote Link to comment
jegar0205
i did have some way back in college, hehehe ninja din pala ako. aikido, judo, brazilian jiujitsu and grappling. Pare, jiu jitsu and grappling are the same Quote Link to comment
geneticfreak
Pare, jiu jitsu and grappling are the same not really... in the strictest sense when you refer to brazilian jiu jitsu you refer to the art of jiu jitsu wherein one is required to wear the prescribed uniform also known as the gi and was formulated primarily by the gracies of brazil. apart from that BJJ has a belting system unlike grappling. when you say 'grappling' you may either refer to the 'entire' gamut of disciplines that involve grappling (say wrestling, sambo, judo, bjj or what have you) or in the more popular context it is known for which is 'no gi' jiu-jitsu. I think UFC is getting too crowded already! Quote Link to comment
maddromeo
Think Hendo got upset when Dana gave Vitor Belfort the title fight against A. Silva! And StrikeForce had given Hendo a better deal than what UFC offered him. :hypocritesmiley: By the way whats up with Shinya Aoki flipping the crowd in Japan @ K1 Dynamite's 2009 DREAM vs. WVR!? Any news from that?! :thumbsdownsmiley: Quote Link to comment
geneticfreak
What one of my favorite fighter is now out of UFC? wwwwwaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! I think UFC is getting too crowded already! Prize Fighter... That's part of the criteria when choosing which promotion to join. I'm sure it won't be the last time Hendo will be seen in the UFC. If you think about it defeating Shields in Strikeforce is quite a big payday and not only that, a win over one of the top submission guys in this sport will only help increase Hendo's stock. What the heck is Dana gonna do after the title fight between Silva and Vitor? yeah he might have the winner of the Bisping/Wand fight up as the next challenger but what after that? The fans of the UFC will surely surely demand a fight between Hendo and whoever emerges the champion and believe me Dana's gonna be more than willing to give Hendo a bigger paycheck just to come back. Cant wait for those fights.. Maybe they can also put Hellboy against KJ Noons so we can see KJ's ass be handed to him.. Prize Fighter... But what will happen (if a miracle can happen.. hehe) if Shields beats Hendo? That will definitely complete Shields resume for UFC. He, from the get go, have said that he wants to fight in UFC. Im sure that Dana will sign him instantly if that happens.. Quote Link to comment
geneticfreak
Dana said it's Hendo's permanent ticket out of the UFC, but we'll never know, look at Tito.. Yes. Exactly. Apart from being the premier MMA organization in the world the UFC is a business and if there's one thing about a business, it is that nothing's ever permanent especially if change can bring in more ppv buys and can put more asses in seats. Any news from that?! :thumbsdownsmiley:that's for not tapping from the hammerlock & having his arm broken... or just probably they had some trash talk pre fight & Aoki wanted to prove a point to Hirota... or he wanted to avenge the loss of his friend Kitaoka from losing to Hirota for the Sengoku LW belt... or he felt that he should've fought Tatsuya Kawajiri... who knows maybe it's just one of those crazy Japanese plots BTW nice name for a hammerlock... Sure the take down is still there, but the striking seems reluctant... thiago almost got him in third round... Quote Link to comment
