The fight will def. hit the ground! Shields jiujitsu aint no joke!!! :ninja:

But then again, Kampmann's training partners are very good wrestlers ( Maynard, Tyson Griffin, Couture, Trigg, Dunham) so am sure he has prepared to defend the takedown..

It will be one hell of a match for sure!!

I would have loved to see a Fedor vs. Brock matchup, but Fedor has to get that rematch against Werdum first. It's a toss up actually but I'm starting to think Brock has a chance. It seems like Fedor has been slowing down, perhaps getting old.

agreed, that's a great matchup. would love to see this fight.

UFC is making UFC121 a stacked card..

Cain vs Brock

Shields vs Kampmann

tapos they added:

Diego Sanchez vs Paulo Thiago

Patrick Cote vs Tom Lawlor

Diego staying at WW? Why? In my opinion, there is no contender in this division that he can beat. He lost to Fitch, Koscheck, and even to a prospect Hathaway and now he will fight Paulo Thiago? He should stay at LW. He only lost to BJ Penn at LW. But then again he only fought a couple of times at LW. :D

Rampage na lang cgro para may possibility ung Rampage - Shogun 2..

yeah i'm rooting for rampage for the possibility of a rematch against shogun (however unlikely that may be).

I'm a big Rampage fan but I think it's a long night for him. Machida is too fast, too well-rounded and too elusive for him. I'd like Machida to have another shot at Shogun.

Thank you for posting the results... was not able to watch due to a family gathering.

I knew Banario was something. He was on the fight card with me during the Professional Sambo Championships last december and he nearly beat Asian Games muay thai gold medalist Ruben Sumido. That guy has some sick takedowns and the striking to boot.

Jessie Rafols has become so much more than just a striker. I think he's won his last two fights via submission now and against a good ground fighter like Benibe this time, very impressive.

The 'Onyok' Trasmonte / Lino 'Terminator' Tagacay match I'm sure would have been a treat. Great win for Onyok.

Igor Subora is just a beast... Locally I think no one is just a match for his sheer size and strength. I think this last fight was just a tune up for his fight in the next edition of the Resorts World Singapore MMA championships. 'Sugar' Estrada I think should drop back down to either 189 or 199 he is just overmatched with any of the heavyweights of the URCC.

Nice wins for both Reggie 'Baby Ama' Amarante, Carl 'the Virus' Sabeniano (who now shows he is so much more than just a 'rubber' guard specialist) and the always impressive Eric Kelly (Ari Zarco I think should work on his jiu jitsu a lot more IMO. He has been in this game for a long time and relying solely on his boxing is not gonna win him fights against those in the upper echelons of his division -- the Lakay wushu guys especially).

Froilan Sarenas I knew was probably gonna win this one either via GNP or a submission. He is after all one of the few BJJ purple belts in the country. He stays undefeated after this fight with Razi Jbarri who has now lost his last four fights (the title fight against Cesar Yarte in the now defunct FFC, the Black Tie Brawl fight against the Machida-like Manguray, the URCC Cebu fight against Deftac Cebu's Tom Woodfin and now this fight against Sarenas).

And pinoy pride reigns supreme again after a win via Roy Docyogen over Jordan Ogo of Saipan. I would love to see him in a rematch with boy wonder Alvin Ramirez from Yaw yan buhawi. I thought their first fight was so tightly contested it ought to have a few more rounds.

Some insights I would like to add:

Estoro over-committed his strikes and got left open for the backfist...

Benibe should practice his takedown defense since he recieved several hip throws from Rafols...

Norada has a lot of potential.. give him some basic striking and jiu jitsu and he can be a force in the pinweight division

A little more wrestling for Onyok and he can be more dominant

Impressive gameplan by Sarenas... wering down Razi in the clinch and keeping him confused
