call it biased but that how we really saw the fight... regardless that randy pushes the pace i didnt even see him able to get a clear shot in taking down brandon to the mat...

well i guess my way of thinking is like this. hypothetically speaking there's a UFC fight. 2 guys are basically just wrestling. one guy is the aggressor and is trying to get the takedown while the other guy is just trying to defend it. who would you give the round to if there had to be a winner?? i would think the more aggressive one right?? (based on the rules of aggression in the octagon)

 

but anyway im not going to pursue this argument, i don't see anything wrong with what anyone has said. i don't necessarily agree that it was a clear victory for vera but everyone is entitled to their own opinion

the problem is majority of MMA analyst Agree that VERA won the fight...

i also thought randy never did anything convincingly to merit a win. brandon wasn't hurt unlike randy who has to crumple to the ground after a vicious knee to the gut. in general, i thought brandon landed the more devastating kicks to merit a W..

Vera won that fight over Couture. No doubt about it. He mounted Couture 2 times and hurt him with knees to the gut. Even Joe Rogan said he couldn't believe the decision. The judges really sucked this time. :thumbsdownsmiley:

vera-shogun match will be interesting! a properly conditioned vera would be a tough nut to crack. he was pretty much gassed up after 3 rounds w/ randy

No doubt Vera won that match! The judges erred in giving the fight to Couture just because of his aggression, Vera scored clear points during the match, couture didn't! Points win matches not aggression.

I suggest he retire from the sport na. His last 3 fights, Lesnar, Big Nog, and Vera all rocked Couture kasi.. Hindi na ganun kabilis yung reflexes nya umilag.

Couture was the aggressor for the fight but Vera landed more strikes, including a knockdown in the 2nd round and a takedown which lead to a mount...

 

IMHO I scored it 29-28 Vera evenj though I was rooting for Randy

The issue of fight control versus dishing out physical damage is still not clear cut in terms of judging in the UFC. For me Vera-Couture was similar to Rua-Machida. UFC needs to "have a talk with the judges" on the parameters.

 

I'd like to see Vera at a 100% potential from his current 70%, as so he claims. He needs to be 100% to beat Machida or Rua. At this time. I even see him having a chance against "The Spider" (MW)

 

Anybody on the Kim COUTURE vs Kerry VERA fight this week? IMO, Kim does not stand a chance
