Is it pride to keep yourself from asking stuff from other people? I call it self-respect.

And no one can say, "You say that only 'cause you've never been poor or hungry."

Because I have. And even then I didn't do that. So, why?

What drives these people to bang on my door, say Merry Christmas, and expect bills to be handed out?
