Since I got back from the Phil this past Monday, the portrait I'm painting is reflecting what I'm feeling inside. In the background are dark colored city buildings lit up for the evening, they give a sad, silent tone as darkness surrounds them. In the foreground are lots of people painted in somber colors of brown and grey. All are in the shadows and are wearing masks. In the center is a lone figure in the spotlight of a street lamp. The light from the lamp is streaming onto his mask and revealing a sad face behind it as he stares directly at you the viewer. behind the painting I wrote these words:  A fleeting moment,a wish that can never be.A heart again heavy,a smile, no longer free.
