Thanks for the input bro, I've made up my mind on this and I'll continue GL. I'll drop it soon but I'll keep GLC.

About FC: ang daming tie-ins. Buti naman na di ako masyado na DC fan.

 

You know what, I think eto na ang panahon na para magtipid and we should think wisely on what titles should we get. So, I'm gonna give you my list of titles and please criticize me in anyway on why I shouldn't get this title, ok?

 

I'll definitely start collecting Marvel Mighty Muggs toys; buy the Mike Minola'a penciled Hellboy one-shot; not collect the War of the Kings, Superman: New Krypton. I'll be kinda sensitive in choosing some one-shots.

 

Definitely will keep:

-Captain America

-Amazing Spider-man

-Invincible Iron Man

-Kick-ass

-Mighty Avengers

-Deadpool

-The Walking Dead

 

Minis/events:

-Sub-Mariner:The Depths

Here's my feedback on what you're getting:

 

 

Thor - I'm not reading this but it's good that Thor's having a low profile but I guess he'll be a breakout character after SI

 

Captain America - Not reading this too but definitely a winner. KEEP IT.

 

Amazing Spider-Man - Well, you might skip a month or two since the writers are rotating but NWTD is fine.

 

Invincible Iron Man - I predicted this'll be a hit but my pocket tells me another thing. KEEP IT and keep me posted w/the Triumph Division.

 

Kick-Ass - KICK-ASS!!!

 

Might Avengers - As the cousin of Marvel's flagship title I guess you can't be wrong here.

 

Deadpool - Give it a shot, I wish Fabian Nicieza is the one writing this.

 

The Walking Dead - I guess there's something here since it just surpassed it's 50th issue.

 

 

 

I'm out of time I'll give my feedback w/the other titles tomorrow and I'll post my list this week too for some feedback.

@ajaxfan: Hope I could be at the convention, bro.. Its always amazing to look at somebody else's collection.. And I highly anticipate looking at your collection.. Madami ka ba graded comicbooks? How about signed Dynamic Forces-certified comics? That would be a treat for the eyes!!! How about old comics (golden, silver and bronze age)? 80's comicbooks are also good to look at..

oh yeah i think this would be my 1st time to be in this thread...let me introduce myself

 

i am huge spider-man, a comic reader since 2002 and have indulge in almost every spider-man comic as much as I can and some other marvel titles(with the help of dcp)

 

2007 was the year I turned into toy/statue collection(but still read comics)....what made me love toys at this time was I was able to apperciate almost every single character in spideys world and seeing them in 3D...is a sight to enjoy.

 

regarding my collection...i am more of a comic reader than a collector. I am not into graded comics...just want a copy or in trade/HC.

always love comic discussion like you guys....i say this because I was suprised to know that many collectors dont know what they are collecting or dont anything what happened to the character which is sad...stories are better than looking at toys.

@ajaxfan: Nice collection you have there.. Just like you, I also collect figures but mostly they are Marvel Hero Clix figures.. Nakalagay din sa istante.. haha.. Nakalagay sa friendster pics ko ito but I will post it here.. BTW, medyo nag-lie-low na ako sa Hero Clix dahil sobrang dami na ang releases and my istante can't fit 'em any more..

 

Ang ganda nung Spiderman #1 na statue, bro.. Your collection is definitely a looker..

 

I am also a Spidey-fan, bro.. But I have been very disappointed coz I felt Marvel cheated its readers when "everything just fell into place" during the Clone saga.. Gumulo ang istorya at nabelawala ang mga lumang istorya like the Death of Gwen Stacy, etc.. Marvel sure had lots of ideas but I definitely feel that they have no great ideas when it comes to Spiderman.. One More Day is another storyline I disliked.. But because I love Spiderman, I can't just stop everything.. Right now, ironically, I am getting New Ways to Die.. Just to give its hype my utmost attention.. haha..

 

Its always fun to look at other people's collections.. Thanks for sharing..

regarding spider-man....i miss jms.

 

there have been some BND stories that i like....i always believe that the stories werent erased just forgetten....it has always been said in the creators interviews.

 

an example of which is in New WAys to Die wherein Peter was suprised Norman and Venom didnt remember his identity.

 

 

there are 2 recent steve wacker interviews that will shed light on the future of spider-man....it seems in towards #600 peter and mj might remember their past.

i am also excited with dark reign and the next cosmic event...

 

i love events...they make the universe cohesive

 

for several years pre-disassembled...na spidey was within his universe, x-men within its own continuity and avengers/f4 fighting their own archrivals.

 

it is as if they are not within one universe...now MU is cohesive and events within each other are interelated with HOM, CW, Annihilation, Conquest, WWH and SI.

I just got my copy of All Star Bats #10 today, bro.. And I got surprised kasi akala ko next week pa ang release nito.. :thumbsupsmiley: Critics have been very unforgiving with their reviews on this series.. I find it quite okay.. Yun nga lang sobrang delayed ang releases ng mga issues..
