I just read my reservation na delayed ng 3 weeks and here's my opinion:

 

 

Avengers: Initiative #14

 

It's somehow not new reader friendly if you bought this since it's a tie-in fro SI but since I had the initial arc of this series eh nakasabay naman ako. Yun lang ang comment ko pero the issue was a great tie-in for SI.

 

 

Green Lantern #32

 

I don't know if this is also an origin of sorts for another DC character since I'm new to DC but the current series is essential to teh much awaited Blackest Night event.

 

 

 

Hulk #4

 

Mindless slugfest but what do you expect in a Hulk comic? I'm looking forward for another slugfest next issue w/Thor!

 

 

Mighty Avengers #15

 

Solid SI tie-in telling how Henry Pym was replaced by a Skrull. I was expecting he was replaced when he stopped a Hydra vessel in issue # 2.

 

 

Ms. Marvel #28

 

This is somehow a continuation of Ms. Marvel's depressing fellings on the last issue but this time she does it ala Uma Thurman in k*ll Bill Volume One where her character faced the whole Crazy 88 (?) gang. No futher development w/regards to SI in my opinon.

 

 

New Avengers #42

 

Bendis continues how did the current Invasion was tied w/the first issues of this comic. The issue focuses on the Queen Skrull herself. Solid art by Cheung and a great tie-in to SI.

 

 

Secret Inasion: Runaways/Young Avengers #1

 

The art didn't suit my taste since it was intended to be manga style. I've nothing against mangas but not on a Marvel comic book please. With the art aside I guess this is not a mindless tie-in and may hold a key chapter w/the main series.

 

 

Star Wars: Dark Times #12

 

So this was the Vector tie-in for this series? I rarely comment that this series can be done in an issue but that's what I felt when I read the last page that the series crosses over w/the next Star Wars title. Hindi pa umiinit ang puwet ko eh ganun na yun? That's for the tie-in aspect but the regular story was decent and makes me want to follow this series at least.

 

 

X-Men: Legacy #213

 

I was expecting that this issue would have a cliffhanger ending but it won't matter to me. I was expecting a mediocre end for the DWS tie-in but instead it got me hooked! Too bad this is my last issue for this series since I don't have enough budget.

ako i spend mga 1.5 to 3 k ( depende sa mga mini series ) ....sympre minsan kiaw kiaw si mrs..sayang pera daw..........comics ko for reading ( hobby ) lang...... :headsetsmiley:

My wife hates my NBA Card Collection dahil mas magastos siya.. And wala naman daw nahihitang "katalinuhan" diyan.. At least daw ang comics ay para ding mga libro.. Before I was spending around 5-10K a month sa NBA Cards ko.. Now, I just spend around 1,5K to 2K for my cards dahil nag-lie-low na ako sa mga rookie cards.. I just buy when I see a good deal.. Atsaka medyo humirap ang buhay.. haha..

 

For my comicbooks, I think I am spending around 4-5K a month.. Kasi almost 1K ang gastos ko per week and there are weeks na lumalampas ako ng 1K.. My wife hates it when I buy a lot of comicbooks, she is not really into it but she knows that at least I don't spend money by going to MP's and KTV's.. hahaha.. (Well that is what she knows.. )

 

But I am trying to cut down on my spendings and that is the reason why I don't buy all the tie-ins.. I became kinda meticulous in the comics I buy.. And the internet reviews help me pick up what I like and some key issues..

 

I also borrow the Previews from my comicbook store and read it for one whole night just to know what issues to get and not to get.. In this day and age, we all have to get only the stuff we really want and get the stuff that would mean something for our collections in the future.. And reading reviews and previews is necessary dahil sobrang mahal ng mga bilihin ngayon.. We can't really be too trigger happy when buying comics (this actually holds true in everything)..

 

Nga pala, give and take lang kami ni Wifey.. Badminton lang naman luho niyan at kain sa labas.. I give in and accompany her but she has to let me have my Comics and Cards fix..

 

BTW, just read in comicbookresources.com that the Superman event will start in October.. Much like Sinestro Corps of 2007, all titles of Superman will be needed.. Cross-over event na naman..

I spend around 3k-5k per month. Yung nanay ko ang nagcocomment sa akin pero mabuti naman at naintindihan niya na din kasi may ka-officemate siya sa opisina na nagmamahal daw. Like revi and norbyela metikoloso din ako pagdating sa comics (naniniwala ako na lahat ng kolektor eh metikoloso) , I usually have a future list pero tinigil ko na dahil sa summer events. I use Previews to keep me updated and guided sa upcoming issues at paminsan minsan eh may nagugustuhan yung mga ka-opisina ko kaya umoorder din sila, parang Avon Lady tuloy ako. Hahaha!

 

I'm also into Magic CCG pero walang panahon at budget, paminsan minsan eh sumasali ako sa mga pre-release kasi patas ang labanan kahit experienced ka or casual gamer ka lang. Basketball lang ang isa ko pang hilig pero dahil pang gabi ako eh wala na akong panahon kaya internet na lang pag wala akong pasok kasi sa gabi din ako gising dahil ang hirap kapag nabago ang body clock.

I think I'm going to keep Captain Britain & MI13 because I'm looking for a supernatural concept in the MU. And besides, it's one great series so far eventhough I haven't read issue #3 yet. But if I drop this I'll probably get Ghost Rider on his upcoming arc since it's going to be Johnny vs. Danny! Issue #23 is a key issue ata kasi dun ata unang lumabas si Zadkiel at yun yung comeback issue ni Danny Ketch.

Same here. maarte din ako sa spine at edges unless last copy na talaga. Sinususndan ko yung Green Lantern pati Green Lantern Corps. Si revi eh kumukuha din ng Green Lantern. I'm still undecided kung kukuhanin ko mga reservations ko bukas or sa sahod na lang.

Dammit! Final Crisis would probably have a back-up artist by issue #4. Morrsion mentioned he had this back-up plan all along just in case JG Jones would have a hard time w/the deadline. I think it's Carlos Pacheco lending Jones a hand. This sucks. Imagine this happened in Infinite Crisis and they're doing the same mistake. DC favors delivery on timie while Marvel suffers some setback but quality assured. :grr:

Yep, tama ka. Kakaumpisa pa lang delayed agad ang FC. Walang FC sa August. Starting from #4 e tutulong na si Carlos Pacheco sa penciling duties ng FC.

 

Kala ko wlang kumukuha ng GL sa inyo. Ganda kasi ng storyline ngayon. Can't wait for The Blackest Night event.

@Y-the last man: Green Lantern is the best book in town.. Reviewers are raving about it and are all expecting a huge "Blackest Night" event.. I decided to drop GL Corps and continue GL because of the reviews surrounding the title..

@all: Uncanny XMen #500's reviews all over the web are shitty.. hahaha.. And that is an understatement.. Why? Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng comic review na nasa F ang rating.. Oh well! Yung covers na lang ang saving grace.. BTW, I won't be getting the Greg Land cover.. I changed my mind.. Ross na lang ako at yung Turner variant..
