@misty2l: Nice for a gal to drop by a male dominated thread.. Much like khumpleetist has mentioned, Neil Gaiman is doing another Sandman tale in DC's Vertigo line.. Issue #1is actually being released this week.. I would recommend that based on what comics you read (Fables & Sandman)..

 

@khumpleetist: Bro, are you still continuing your allocation for Sparks? If not, can you spare me a copy of Sparks #3? Na-overlook ko kasi yan 2 months back.. Nung nag-inventory ako ng mga titles ko, napansin ko na wala pa akong #3 kaso may #4 na ako.. Buset!!! hahaha.. I e-mailed Sandy to re-order said comic but he has not replied yet.. Must be busy.. Kaso kung meron ka, at willing ka to sell/trade.. I will just cancel my re-order..

Nice of you to give your thoughts on upcoming titles on January, I haven't browsed Previews yet but this Sunday I'll get my copy. After Secret Invasion and Final Crisis eh stick muna ako sa mga regular series ko. Of course may mga exceptions usually yung mga may mga first apperances and milestone issues. I'll probably get first issues of the Noir line and Dark Avengers. I don't know if I'll continue DA. Eye of The Camera would be nice pero walang budget eh. Baka yung Punisher ang idagdag ko sa mga regular titles ko. Nothing so much with DC except for JLA. Thanks for the heads up FOE: Prometheus. Parang iba ata ang sitwasyon at ikaw ang nakapag update sa akin sa Big Two ah? Hahaha. For indies, I won't mention it kasi ang dami kong gusto like Impaler (even before the news surfaced that it would be revived) pero wala na akong budget para dun.

 

Sad to say bro I didn't continued Sparks. I only got the initial issue. I might drop by DK this month at tingnan ko kung meron dun.

@khumpleetist: Nahihiram ko kasi ng isang linggo ang Previews sa Filbars eh.. Kaya nababasa ko talaga.. Sandy also replied to my e-mail and will just re-order daw yung Sparks #3.. Will just follow that up with him.. Sana makakuha para hindi bungi ang aking set ng Sparks..

 

@norbyela: I have seen several Muggs at JAE Collectibles in SM Megamall.. Take a look at them.. Meron akong nakita na Peter Parker/Spiderman and a limited edition Iron Man.. Medyo mahal nga lang dahil both are limited ata or Comic Con/Toy Con exclusives.. Might be a nice addition to your collection..

I know its Ross art, but look at his AVENGERS/INVADERS... its a flop. Tsaka mainly dahil wala akong budget. Hahaha

 

Has any Kevin Smith-films been shown here in the PI? Isa lang ang alam ko na pinalabas dito, Jersey Girl.. And it was not the usual Smith movie na kakaiba at hilarious ang dialogue.. Halos lahat ng films niya na meron ako sa DVD (Chasing Amy, Clerks 1 & 2, Dogma, Mallrats) ay puros pirated, dahil hindi available dito.. Sa Mallrats may cameo pa si Stan Lee dun.. At sobrang ganda ng Chasing Amy, it is one of my favorite films.. Well, to answer your question, bro, I don't think so..

 

The reason why I am getting the JSA Special by Alex Ross is because it is directly tied to the JSA/Kingdom Come storyline in JSA.. Ross does not write well, kaso maganda pa din na kumpleto ang set ng storyline na ito.. Since JSA #10, medyo malaki-laking build up na din ang nagawa ni Geoff Johns, Ross might be able to write a good story dahil sa build-up ni Johns.. But if you are not getting the Kingdom Come storyline sa JSA, I suggest you don't pick this one up.. Milking the cow lang ito ng DC dahil sa Alex Ross art..

 

 

@khumpleetist: Tama si norbyela.. Cacophony should be a good read and might just be a collector's item of sorts.. The first Kevin Smith written Daredevil is a classic.. But unfortunately, I only have the three first issues kasi nag-stop na ako nun ng pangongolekta ng comics.. Sayang! Na-set ko man lang sana.. :thumbsdownsmiley:

Thanks for the encouragement and persuading me to get Batman Cacophony. I hope magtaas ng value. Hehehe. Wala akong masyadong alam sa films ni Kevin Smith pero yung Mallrats eh naaalala ko pa yun kasi may ad yun sa mga comics dati.

 

I have a different opinion w/Avengers/Invaders kasi gumaganda naman siya so far pero kasi nga walang impact ito malamang sa current continuity kaya medyo panget. Pero I'm still hopeful.
