^Haay! Buong Galleria pala on-sale kahapon.. Napabili tuloy ako ng mga on-sale na DVD's.. Sheesh!!!

 

Well, these are the stuff that I got from Comic Odyssey yesterday.. Hindi na ganung kaganda ang mga nasa back-issue bins nila but I still got several vintage (2 are bronze age) comicbooks for half the price..

Naubusan na nga ng Ghost Rider #28 eh.. Dami daw di nabigyan.. Haay! I hope mabigyan ako ng Filbars coz as usual, delayed na naman comics dun.. Sheesh! Kundi lang sa loyalty card at sa mga tao dun, lumipat na ako ng store eh.. Well, mas mura pa rin naman sa Filbars ang comics eh.. hahaha..

 

Laki gastos ko.. Yung reserved items pa lang more than Php2K na eh..

^Medyo naghinay-hinay nga ako sa mga back issues eh, dahil hindi ko pa nakukuha yung mga reserves ko sa Filbars.. Baka hindi ko na makuha yung mga kailangan ko kung lalaki na sobra gastos ko sa CO.. Pareho palang malaki gastos namin ni norby, mas malaki nga lang yung nagastos niya.. haha.. Php3,700 lang lahat lahat eh.. Was actually thinking of buying the Stand #1 variant edition, but decided against it coz I am anticipating the arrival of the new Joker Graphic Novel this month..

 

Anyways, ang problema ngayon, madami ulit ang nasa pull list ko for this week.. As follows..

Brubaker's run on Captain America is difficult to stop.. While Daredevil's Lady Bullseye storyline seems promising.. Hindi ko pwede palampasin ang New Krypton storyline ng DC.. But I will definitely stop my purchases on XMen: Legacy once Original Sin concludes.. Getting tired of the storylines surrounding Marvel's mutants.. I might just continue Uncanny until Manifest Destiny concludes..

 

I got my Ghost Rider #28 yesterday sa Filbars.. 2 lang ang nasa Riverbanks.. Nagkaubusan na nito ah..

^ So, tama nga ako na tapos na ang New Ways to Die.. I checked what #574 would deliver and it looks like Flash Thompson would be on the spotlight.. As much as I would want to get ASM, my pulls are already full.. Plus I feel that the coming ASM stories is more on the stand-alone type of stories that might affect continuity but are not major storylines..

 

I actually hope that Spidey would be a major player in Dark Reign.. As my fave Marvel character, I want to get ASM again.. Naguumpisa na akong magbasa ulit ng Spidey until they made this OMD storyline that reminded me of the Clone Saga.. I also hope everything reverts to the normal flow.. haha.. Ayaw ko pa din ang nangyari sa OMD kaya nga NWTD ang first Spidey series na kinuha ko after OMD.. I did not get any of the BND issues except for the first issue..

^ Napansin ko na nawala ang mga DC titles mo ah.. Except for some Bats titles, Spawn and Walking Dead, halos lahat ay Marvel.. Napapaghalata ang iyong preference, norbs.. Maka-marvel ka din, like me.. haha..

 

In my case, medyo madami akong DC titles na kukunin up to December because of major storylines in Green Lantern (Rage of the Red Lanterns), Superman (New Krypton) and JSA (Kingdom Come).. But I will stop Batman after Morrison's run and will just continue on Gaiman's first issue.. Ang alam ko kasi hindi si Gaiman agad ang papalit kay Morrison eh.. There's an interval of some sorts.. Batman Cacophony is a no-brainer, bro.. Kevin Smith is a proven winner and I expect good things..

 

Spawn? Yep.. I will also get Spawn #185 (Di ba sa November pa ito?).. Also a no-brainer.. But I am not too much of a Spawn-fan.. Therefore, I might just get the first issue of the storyline, but who knows? Baka ma-continue ko din ito.. Medyo gasgas na din ang character na ito but if McFarlane can do some magic, then why not..

 

Brubaker's Daredevil? I will just get the Lady Bullseye storyline.. Will continue Captain America, though..

 

Thor is a good comicbook.. I will get the 600th issue but I am not sure if I would continue.. The Thunder God has been a two-bit-player-character in the MU, and I don't see Marvel having plans of making Thor a major player.. I have the first storyline of the new Thor series, and I feel na tama na muna yun..

 

As much as I would like to get Sub-Mariner: Depths, I can't.. Coz I feel that much like Silver Surfer's limited series a few year's back.. Not a lot of major repercussions will happen here.. So, because of money-constraints, I have to decline this title..

 

I am also not gettind Deadpool, Invincible Iron Man, ASM..

Mga tsong ok ang camaraderie ng mga comic book geeks dito ah.Pwede bang makisali?hehe serious collector din ako ng comics.In fact subscriber din ako sa CO Rob.Place Manila,marami din akong pulls sa sobrang laki nga ng space ko "pinagalitan" na nga ako ni sandy hehe.Nawalan ng control ang pulls ko dahil sa mga "events' na yan,sa SI pa lang 1 to 2k na inaabot ko,may final crisis pa,ang dami kasi tie-ins.And then ang magaganda ang story arcs ng main marvel books(Cap,Thor,ASM,Avengers,X-men,Wolverine) at yung mga second tier books nila A-class na rin ngayon(Iron Fist,Moon Knight,Ghost Rider).Basta Jason Aaron ang sumulat bad-ass yan,ang ganda.What do you guys think of the Gr vs Gr arc in Ghost Rider?Exciting yun ah,sa tingin ko next year irereformat ang book na yun into a book called "Spirits of Vengeance" katulad nung early 90's book nila blaze and ketch, YES two ghost riders in one book.Siguradong magaappreciate yung Ghost Rider Danny ketch #1 in the future kapag nangyari yan.Unperdictable ngayon ang marvel,pati si black panther papalitan nila ng female version.Ang Dc ngayon boring besides sa FC wala na,Flash Rebirth lang talaga ang inaanticipate ko sa kanila,New Krypton?big time kaya magiging impact nyan sa dc continuity or cash cow lang dahil superman eh.Mga tsong meron ba sa inyo merong Immoratl Iron Fist 2nd printing cover ni dell otto trip ko kas yun eh,kung meron kayong extra copy,pm ne the price kunin ko.Thanks.

Napaisip ako bigla sa sinabi mo na baka mag-appereciate ang value ng Danny Ketch #1.. Well, I hope not, coz I am not getting that title.. Medyo sobrang dami ko na pulls for and I do anticipate that the New Krypton storyline will be as big as Sinestro Corps War, so I can not drop it.. I have high hopes when it comes to Geoff Johns' scripts kasi eh..

 

The Black Panther scenario is a revelation.. I'd better take a look at that title at baka kailangan natin medyo lumingon kay T'Challa.. Hmmm.. Hindi ko kasi nabasa ito sa Previews kaya medyo bulag ako dito.. Any more details, bro..

 

I don't have the 2nd print of Immortal Iron Fist, but I have the Director's Cut.. Not for sale, though..

 

Much like you, medyo seryoso rin akong kolektor ng comics.. If money permits, I try to get #1's of a title that I feel na puputok kahit hindi ko talaga gusto ituloy.. Much to my happiness, medyo nakakakuha ako ng ilang #1's na naka-on-sale ng more than half the price paminsan-minsan.. Kaya yung iba nado-doble ko.. Sa Marikina kasi ako nakatira bro, kaya yung Filbars dito medyo ako ang nauuna sa back issues at new issues din dahil malapit lang ako sa kanila.. Kamukha nitong Immortal Iron Fist na Director's Cut.. haha..

 

I can't agree with you more, the comicbook industry today is alive and kicking.. Superb scripts from wonderful writers have given new interest to old and new readers.. Even outside the Marvel U and DCU, comics are just thriving.. The Stephen King series in Marvel is a testament to that.. And this is the reason why I try to read stories from indie publications especially stories from Steve Niles, Garth Ennis, and Ben Templesmith (I like this guy's art!)..

 

Again, welcome, bro.. Hope to here your thoughts and share your weekly pulls here, as well.. We try to keep all posters here as up to date as possible.. Hindi kami maramot dito sa information.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Welcome ryan69! Join ka lang dito, welcome ka palage. I think the GR vs GR arc would be great. I'm getting the arc too not because I'm a Jason Aaron fan (although I liked his Get Mystique! arc in Wolverine) but I like GR's genre. Btw, I'm also getting Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch. W/regards to the Black Panther book I might just get the issue where the new Black Panther appears. Flash Rebirth is most likely a hit since The Flash is Geoff John's favorite character and he'll pull every trick he knows on the book. The New Krypton arc might be special since Superman is celebrating his anniversary this year. I wrote might be special because I wasn't satisfied w/John's and Donner's collaboration on the Last Son arc recently. Maybe Justice League would be a hit.
