I'm excited to read FC #2 since Saturday ko pa makukuha. Tingnan ko kung malilito ulit ako o hinde. But as a writer I believe that evrything is hit and miss. You might have a great work the first time then you suddenly suck then you're back in track again. I can't comment on Morisson's attitude since I haven't read any comments yet but I have a hunch na palaban talaga itong si Morisson kapag nacriticize eh base sa mga previous works nya.

 

I'll just wait and see for the next turn of the story (maski sablay yung kinalabasan). Eto naging promise ko sa sarili ko after being able to buy comics again.

Ganyan din ang feeling ko pag bumili ako ng comic series. I don't care kung sablay o hinde basta matapos ko lang yung series. Pero pag hindi Marvel o DC eh napapadalawang isip ako kesyo limited series o hinde. By the way, sa limited series lang ako hindi bumibitaw pero pag regular series eh tinitigil ko paminsan minsan.

 

Basts mag-ingat ka lang naman sa spoilers, ako nga eh nagdadahan dahan din dahil ang dami ko na namang backlog pero pumupunta pa din ako sa ign.com para lang makita yung rating pero hindi yung review.

Anyone here able to score a copy of Final Crisis with Green Lantern as cover? Marami akong officemate na nagtatanong at naghahanap ng variant na yun kaso no luck for the past 2 weeks.

On a side note ay parang super curious ako sa comics ngayon after my parents denied me the privilege of having such collection nung nag-aaral pa ako. Naalala ko lang ata na pinaghirapan ko ipunin ay yung X-men Alpha#1 na binili ko sa Filbar's ali mall. Tapos ang bilis mayupi ng front cover. Tsk tsk. Sayang 130 ko nun. hehehe

Batman RIP #3 is ummm...dark & twisted...Para ren ako nagbabasa ng Da Vinci Code na complex yung takbo ng mga utak ng mga character. Tapos yung nabasa ko pa yung nasa last panel. Hmmmm.

Pareho pala tayo ng ginagawa sa ign.com.. I also look at the ratings and not the reviews sa mga kinukuha kong comics.. At kapag maganda ang rating ng HINDI ko kinukuha, dun ko babasahin ang review and then kung mukhang important ang event, that is when I will ask my friendly neighborhood comicbook store to reserve me a copy..

 

Ang dami mo na naman comics this week, bro ah.. haha.. Hirap mag-bawas ano? haha..

and Final Crisis: Requiem #1

 

.. I have my doubts on Requiem, kasi parang tribute lang daw ito for Martian ManHunter (just read Final Crisis #1, para malaman niyo kung bakit may tribute kay J'onnz).. Yung Detective ang iniisip ko.. A lot has been said about how the Rise of Ra's Al Ghul storyline became shitty due to Detective, Robin and Nightwing titles (kumbaga outside of Morrison's writing duties), and because of that I am really contemplating if I should get the tie-ins to RIP or not.. Well, I will be waiting for the reviews for both of these comics.. And I'll decide from there..

Bro, the Finch Variant of New Avengers #1 was included in the package of the George Perez autograph.. Php1K yung dalawa..

 

On a side note ay parang super curious ako sa comics ngayon after my parents denied me the privilege of having such collection nung nag-aaral pa ako. Naalala ko lang ata na pinaghirapan ko ipunin ay yung X-men Alpha#1 na binili ko sa Filbar's ali mall. Tapos ang bilis mayupi ng front cover. Tsk tsk. Sayang 130 ko nun. hehehe

 

Hey! I was not studying anymore, when that comicbook came out.. haha....

 

Kidding aside, alam ninyo, there was a reaction on several blogs/sites that the comicbook industry is back after having a stupid 1990's run.. hahaha..

 

Kumbaga, if you wanna come back to comicbook reading/collecting.. Now is the time..

 

I can't agree more.. Aside from shitty stuff like, the One More Day event in Spiderman and some Ultimates books, comicbook storytelling has never been brighter.. I feel like the 70's and the 80's are coming back and what is good about this is that DC is providing one hell of a run with Geoff Johns and Grant Morrison on the forefront.. Kasi nung 70's and early 80's hindi ko masyadong nagustuhan ang DC.. Puros walang katorya-toryang mga istorya na puros one-shot...

 

And to top it off, yung mga indies ngayon, sobrang gaganda.. If you compare it to the indie books that were released in the 90's.. malayong malayo.. Steve Niles, Ben Templesmith, Garth Ennis, Rememder, Jason Aaron, Brian Wood, Vaughn are creating wonderful stories, left and right.. And lastly, the Stephen King books in Marvel are just blowing me away.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Lam mo bro parang good news ito kasi mahigpit ang DC sa deadline eh. I know that they'd rather beat the deadline than wait for the creative team to finish the comic. I remember Infinite Crisis and Civil War. Nabadtrip ako sa IC kasi paiba iba ng artist and to think na summer event yun. Ok na sana kung isang artist lang ang back-up pero 4 ata ang nagfill in kung di ako nagkakamali. Tas pumanigit na yung istorya nung mga last issues kaya nagkaleche leche lalo yung series. Dun naman sa Civil War eh nakakabadtrip din pag late pero nagpauna na ang Marvel na malalate sila ng hindi naman katagalan at ok pa din naman kasi hindi napalitan yung artist.

 

I feel Avengers/Invaders would suck since admitted naman ni Ross na may time travel dito at wala pang nag-aacknowledge nito sa recent continuity kasi kung hindi ako nagkakamali eh before ito ng SI pero hopeful pa din naman ako sa series.

Ok lang siguro na delay ang FC para hindi mabago ang artist saka alam ko eh may break itong series na ito para daw ma-accomodate si JG Jones. Di ba maganda Trinity? Tumigil kasi ako sa weekly comic nung hindi ko na mahabol yung Countdown at ok naman kasi pangit yung Countdown eh. Speaking of Booster Gold eh kailangang habulin ko yung last issue at siguro drop ko na din pagatapos ni Geoff Johns.

Nadale mo bro! Hindi ko pa nababasa yung Batman RIP #3 pero ganyan yung feeling ko kahit dun pa lang sa DC Universe #0. Parang ganyan din feeling ko sa FC pero nagkadireksyon naman nung issue #2.

 

Buti hindi ka na pinagbabawalan ngayon, ako nge eh pinagbabawalan pa eh. Nagkaron din ako niyang X-Men Alpha #1, medyo na-damage ko nga ata yung harapan eh pero alagang alaga sa akin yun bulkod dun sa title na makintab na nadamage ko nga ata. Dito unang lumabas si X-Man at Dark Beast!

 

Meron akong Green Lantern cover nung FC #1, try mo sa CQ or sa DK kung meron pa sila. At curious ako sa mga officemate mo ah mukhang naimpluwensiyahan mo sa comics.

Amen revi. Ang hirap magbawas, andami ko na ngang hahabulin eh. Feeling ko din hindi imporatnte yung FC: Requiem pero nakapagpromise na ako sa sarili ko na kukunin ko 'to lahat. Nga pala, kung hindi namatay si Turner eh may Avengers/X-Men siya with Jeph Loeb. Sayang.

 

Bro, try mong inquire kay Sandy ito: Consortium Of Justice #1 at Wargod #1. Initial release yan ng Chimaera (?) Publishing/Comics (?). Balak kong kumuha for collection purposes lang.
