Elektra Assassin #s 1-8 (Full Set) --- when I saw this on the shelves and was offered for Php1K.. Naglaway ako dahil isa ito sa mga hinahanap ko coz it was written by Frank Miller.. And most of the issues are still in Mint Condition.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Just finished reading the recent Previews (comics shipping for August)..

 

I looked at all the tie-ins for both DC and Marvel and I don't know but I feel that both companies are milking our money to buy every damn tie-in.. Parang lahat necessary.. Although, if you look at them thoroughly, you could see na hindi lahat kailangan..

 

Yung Spiderman na tie-in mukhang wala naman si Web-Head eh.. Puros characters lang sa Brand New Day lang ang andun.. I have my eyes set on Secret Invasion: Inhumans tie-in.. Black Bolt has been missing since the Illuminati series and I have been wondering if he is dead or what? Plus may teaser sa Previews na this series might be leading to something good in 2009..

 

Sa Final Crisis naman.. Sobrang mahal ng mga tie-ins.. Tapos ang haba nung iba.. I have my eyes on the Grant Morrison tie-ins, though.. Kasi siya naman ang nagsulat ng FC, so baka nasa sa kanya din yung mga important tie-ins..

 

I looked at all the Batman RIP tie-ins.. I am not keen on getting them, unless, I see in ign.com na kailangan siya.. Need to read reviews first before I get them..

 

I decided to get Millar's 1985 and Geoff Johns' Braniac saga in Action Comics.. Yung 1985 mukha ngang necessary dahil malaking repercussions daw ang mga sinusulat ni Millar for the future.. I am willing to take a shot.. Yun naman sa Action Comics, mukhang may malaking event na pi-nre-prepare si Geoff Johns for Superman for 2008, and I think it would begin with this tale (daw).. Keeping my fingers crossed na maganda ang kalabasan sa dalawang sets na ito..

 

For indie titles naman.. I have my eyes glued on the new Avatar Garth Ennis comicbook called Crossed.. Horrific comicbook.. Cross between the 28 Days/Weeks series and I Am Legend.. Mukhang maganda itong 10 issue limited series na ito..

Panalo na naman ang nakuha (X-Factor) mo kanina! :thumbsupsmiley: Inggit na inggit na nga ako sa 'yo sa back issue hunting mo pero di ko pa kaya sa ngayon lalo na at may summer event pa ng Big Two. Lam mo naman na gusto ko na ngang kunin yung 1985, FF at Wolverine pero ala talaga. Pagtapos ng SI at FC siguro baka makasingit ako kahit paunti unti. Baka may mga kakaiba ka ding CD collection dahil natanong mo ko dahil sa t-shirt ko, pa cd burn naman diyan!

 

Btw, good decision yang pagkuha mo ng Action Comics kasi mukhang may impact yan sa FC kasi si Geoff Johns ang kapartner in crime ni Grant Morisson.

Been searching for that first issue of X-Factor since my High School days, bro.. Sayang nga at wala yung #6 (just like what you said) dahil dun yung first appearance ni Apocalypse.. Medyo mahal ang benta ni Sandy (CO) sa mga back issues niya but the condition of his comics are superb..

 

Medyo lie-low kasi ako sa basketball cards collection ko, so I decided to get both Action Comics and 1985..

 

OT: With regards to my CD Collection.. haha.. I really don't have much coz as you know, our type of music does not really each our local shores quite ofen (lalo na ngayon na iba ang uso).. But I do have lotsa bootleg copies from "nocturnal records" (a Recto-based store) when they still had a shop here in Marikina.. haha.. Although I do have a number of my own original stuff from way back then and some new original stuff now.. Its interesting that we share a lot of common stuff, bro..

Just saw the weekly comicbook list of Comic Odyssey and I think I just pissed my pants.. haha.. Ang daming darating na comics ko next week.. Plus, I feel that Garth Ennis is doing a lot of books for Avatar.. Maganda ang feeling ko dun sa NO HERO niya na series but I can't get it anymore coz I am getting so many indie titles.. But definitely, I will get his THE CROSSED series, which is also from Avatar, this August (as early as now, baka i-order ko na ito sa Comic Odyssey).. But knowing me, who knows if I will continue No Hero.. haha..

 

Sa August kasi madaming lalabas na Horror-themed comics.. I am keeping an eye on Image's Golly and The Roberts.. So, sa ngayon, medyo hindi ko muna kukunin yung mga hero-based indies na bago.. Baka nga lang kunin ko na din yung mga iilang mga #0's.. Yung Conan: the Cimmerian and yung No Hero for this week.. 50 bucks each lang naman eh.. I just hope it does not make me buy the whole series.. hahaha... But most probably, hindi ko itutuloy yung sa Conan..

I've 50/50 prediction that No Hero will be a hit. As much as I want to get #0 eh feeling ko na kelangang makumpleto mo yung buong series. Just browsing the article eh kelangang may issue #1 ka din after #0 just for key issue purposes (First Appearances) kaya ayoko ng subukang kunin yung #0 (Btw, positive reaction 'to at hindi negative kasi kung kaya ko lang eh kukunin ko din yung #0)

 

I decided to include Wolverine: Origins #26 for Daken's origin since I have his first appearance.

 

 

Mahal ang benta sa CO sa opinyon ko kasi comic retailer yung nagbebenta at collector din at the same time. Pero kung pinapaubos lang talaga eh mas mura katulad nung sinabi mo sa akin na nameet mo sa Toycon. Regardless, happy din ako sa CO pag may nakukuha akong back issues paminsan minsan pero more on glossy paper na yung mga kinukuha ko. Naisip ko tuloy yung Locke & Key #1 na ang mahal. Last time akong nagpunta (2 mos ago) sa DK eh merong kopya eh. Try ko ngang pumunta by 3rd or 4th wk ng July.

Mahal talaga ang back-issues sa Odyssey bro.. That is why I try to limit what I get there.. But minsan dahil sa mahirap hanapin yung ibang mga back issues, kagat na din ako..

Marvel's August Previews is really full of SI tie-ins. I think iilan lang yung hindi. They're really milking the cow. Di bale, pagtapos nitong mga event eh lie low na muna.
