Edmund Dantes
Here are tips that worked for me 1. Eat breakfast. Boost that metabolism in the morning by having a healthy meal. You'd be surprised how much fat you can burn just by taking time to eat breakfast 2. Eat more often, this helps to keep your body metabolism. You eat less metabolism slows down and you burn fat slower. Distribute the calories towards the day 3. Go fo healthier substitutes. Instead of chips, try mixed nuts with a bit of dried fruits for snack. Not only is this very rich in flavor but it also washes away the fixation of your palates to junk food 4. Mix it up. Try various types of meal so you do not get sick of it 5. Knowledge is always key. Always know what you put inside your mouth and what it does. Quote Link to comment
RED2018
Majority of the people who have taken up dieting are the ones who want to lose weight. Others may diet too, but only because they're doctor told them to or they need to be on some kind of strict diet because not doing so will cause health risks. Anyone can just wake up one day and decide to start dieting but you have to understand the full benefits and repercussions of being on a diet. Many people fail at keeping up with their dieting regimes just because of the small mistakes they make whilst watching their weight. No Exercise - Losing weight needs to be done in accordance to a plan and this plan should not only include food dos and don'ts but also an emphasis on regular exercise. Most people diet by eating raw fruits and drinking vegetable or green smoothies. But they forget the most important element involved in a diet is exercise. Unless you move your body on a daily basis, no amount of protein shakes or other drinks can help you shed those extra few pounds. Leaving out on Strength Training - While performing a cardio workout, you should always give a few minutes of your workout time to the dumbbells or weights withering away in a corner of the room. Strength training is important because it makes your muscles stronger and more flexible, burning more calories with every muscle being built. Walking or cycling is a great way to start your cardio but they won't do you much good except for improving your stamina. Cutting out on Food Groups - Different food groups possess different nutrients and cutting out on a food group because of your diet plan is always a bad idea. Some food groups like meat or seafood are full of essential nutrients like protein and omega-3. The deficiency of these nutrients can make your diet plan unsuccessful by leaving you weak and unhealthy. Diet Mistakes- Healthy fats: Fatty acids are considered to be one of the most important building blocks in the human body. However, if the consumption of healthy fats in your body isn’t enough, then it can one of the serious diet mistakes you ever make. Inadequate amount of healthy fats in our body might lead to weaken our brain and many other functions such as chances of brain hemorrhage, memory deterioration, blocking the deposition on blood vessels etc. If you are one of those people who prefer to use processed foods, then you are at a higher risk of aging than others are. The processed food tends to have the larger amount of sodium, lactic acid, etc. that might results in high blood pressure. Moreover, packaged foods are not well enriched with minerals and vitamins that are highly essential for our body. Depriving yourself of Sleep - Always make sure that you get a fair share of your beauty sleep with at least 8 hours of snooze time per night. Sleeping helps burn calories to a much greater extent as compared to staying awake. When you're awake at sleeping hour, you tend to eat more and your metabolism tends to slow down making you store extra calories within the body. People who stay wake and chomp on food are much likelier to gain weight rather than those who complete their hours of beauty sleep. Fad Diets Can Lead to Craving and Binges- One of the worst parts of fad diets is that they dramatically restrict your food intake. If you’re like the rest of us this means that you’ll quickly develop cravings for your favorite foods — all the foods that you’re not supposed to have on your new diet. Human willpower is weak, so it may only be a matter of time before you wind up binging on your favorite foods in large quantities. This can lead to guilt, remorse, and even more binge eating. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, this may not be the best way to go about it. Instead, focus on achieving steady results over time. Quote Link to comment

Number35
No excuses, you should be more conscious, esp, we are not getting any younger. What's a 15-30 mins exercise or stretching everyday when you can spend more than 1 hour looking at your phone, socializing, you can be healthy and be happy without forcing yourself to look like a model. faust
Quote Link to comment
