True, but appreciating the art of these artists usually takes time, especially if they're producing music from a less popular genre. I'm not the biggest fan of ska, but it took time to understand the subtleties and for it to not sound "samey". Another example of this is reggae, especially because reggae music doesn't have that clean news reporter delivery of lyrics, so the lyrical depth is often lost and people just vibe to the rhythms.
