AnakNaTikoy
So much misinformation & misconceptions in this thread that I shudder. As a former keto zealot, it pains me all the more. Guys, low carb works. As does carnivore, paleo, vegan, Mediterranean, high carb, etc. Shit, even a junk food diet works. The key is CICO (calories in, calories out) and maintaining a healthy weight (or losing weight if overfat through a calorie deficit). Find a diet you can stick to while doing CICO (& getting your daily protein & micronutrients) and your nutrition is locked in. Secondly, blood sugar is important to the body. DI po siya lason na kailangan tanggalin, or else mamamatay tayo. Why does the body need glucose? To be active. If you don't use it (e.g. WFH or parati kang nakaupo), the sugar will build up & cause problems. Solution? Use it. Walk more (if your daily steps are way under 10k, your #1 priority is building up to that.) take up a physical hobby (preferably resistance training, because more muscle = more usefulness kahit saan sa buhaay mo). Start small. Build tiny ("atomic") habits towards eating & moving better that you stick with over time. Quote Link to comment

leave
If you are smoking, quit smoking. Nicotine and smoking chemicals in your blood makes it harder for insulin to break down sugar, and it too nicotine increases your blood viscosity, making it thick like syrup and harder to release sugar too.
