OFFICIAL MICHAEL MYERS CASTING CONFIRMED!

 

 

It was reported yesterday via IMDB that Daeg Faerch (Freak Show) would be playing a Michael Myers (age 10) in Rob Zombie's Halloween, which begins lensing in January. Today we received official confirmation from Zombie himself confirming the rumor! Watch this spot for more in the coming weeks. After being committed for 17 years, Michael Myers, now a grown man and still very dangerous, is mistakenly released from the mental institution (where he was committed as a 10 year old) and he immediately returns to Haddonfield, where he wants to find his baby sister, Laurie. Anyone who crosses his path is in mortal danger. Read on for a look at your new Michael!

In addition to the news that was posted here yesterday that Malcom McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) was cast in Rob Zombie's Halloween, it was reported that Halloween alumni Danielle Harris is 'in talks' for the "lead" role in the quasi-remake, according to Fango. In Halloween 4 & 5 Harris played Jamie Lloyd, Michael Myers' niece. No word yet on who she would be playing in Zombie's vision, but is it possible she might be filling Jamie Lee Curtis' shoes? More details as they come in.

Hannibal Rising:

MICHAEL MYERS CAST IN ROB ZOMBIE'S "HALLOWEEN"!

 

 

Rob Zombie announced today on his official Halloween MySpace page that Michael Myers will be played by none other than Tyler Mane in Dimension Films' Halloween remake! I'm sure you all remember Tyler as Rufus from The Devil's Rejects, Sabretooth in the X-Men and the unstoppable Ajax in Troy. He joins Malcolm McDowell (Dr. Loomis), Sheri Moon, Daeg Faerch (young Michael Myers) and Heather Bowen in the quasi-remake, which hits theaters everywhere August 31st. Danielle Harris is still yet to be confirmed. Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave

 

The kids that made it out alive from Necropolis (now in college) return and are not too much wiser for their experience. They find a canister of Trioxyn-5 and try to figure out what it is. Knowing that it probably had something to do with Uncle Charles' experiments, Julian and his new friend Jenny have the brains to be cautious where as the other kids see it as a new party drug and an opportunity to make some quick cash.

 

As the drug becomes more and more popular and Halloween approaches, kids are partying and overdosing on "Z". This turns hundreds of innocent costumed college students into brain thirsty zombies. It all culminates at a huge rave put on by Jenny's brother Jeremy. Zombies mistaken for costumes and two Interpol agents that are more harm than help all add to the hilarity and horror that ensues.

Today Warner Bros. Pictures has provided us with the first official still from One Missed Call, a remake of the Japanese horror film directed by the legendary Takashi Miike. Inside you'll find the first pic and official synopsis from Eric Valette's film, which stars Ed Burns, Shannyn Sossamon, Ana Claudia Talancon, Ray Wise, Azura Skye, Johnny Lewis, Jason Beghe and Margaret Cho. What will it sound like when you die? In “One Missed Call,” a chain of people receive terrifying cell phone messages of their own final fatal moments. Though the messages can be deleted, their number is up. Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) is traumatized when she witnesses the gruesome deaths of two friends just days apart. Even more disturbing, she knows that both of them had received chilling cell phone messages—actual recordings of their own horrifying last moments. Impossibly, the calls were received days before they died, but each death occurred precisely when and how the messages foretold. The police think Beth is delusional—except for Detective Jack Andrews (Edward Burns) whose own sister was killed in a freak accident that bears a strange similarity to the deaths of Beth’s friends. I Am Legend:

 

I am Legend will explode into theatres Dec 14th, 2007. Laurie Strode's Parents Cast in Rob Zombie's "Halloween"!

 

 

Rob Zombie is making sure his Halloween remake doesn't leave any of your minds as he continues to take over our main page with more casting news. Today the rock shocker turned director revealed who will play Mason and Cynthia Strode, Laurie Strode's parents in the new film, which hits theaters everywhere on August 31st. Playing Mason Strode, Laurie's father, is Pat Skipper (Predator 2, Hellraiser: Bloodline).

 

Playing Cynthia Strode, Laurie's mother, is Dee Wallace-Stone (The Howling, Cujo, E.T.).

 

Zombie's vision of this film is an entirely new take on the legend and will satisfy fans of the classic "Halloween" legacy while beginning a new chapter in the Michael Myers saga. "This is a bit of a prequel and a remake, combined," says Zombie.
