Ben Stiller and director Jay Roach (MEET THE PARENTS) have been plotting the pic since the original since early 2002 but hasn't been able to get off the ground. Carrey is now in talks to co-star with Stiller in the film, which has given the project new life at Fox. GUYS would follow Stiller and Carrey as two "pleasure clones" in a society where women rule the Earth and men are obsolete and have been replaced by these clones. The duo will play an outdated model of clone who have been replaced by newer models with better listening and lovemaking skills. Realizing their fate, they begin a search for a mythical refuge known as Mantopia. Yes, Mantopia. The film will reunite Carrey and Stiller who worked together on THE CABLE GUY. It would be Stiller's third film with Roach after both MEET THE... films. Mission Impossible 3 news:Billy Crudup has signed on for a role in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3. Billy is currently working on THE GOOD SHEPHERD with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie and will begin work on M:I3 later this month. Hollow Man 2:Sony Pictures’ HOLLOW MAN 2 began shooting in Vancouver a couple of weeks ago, with Christian (HEATHERS) Slater, Laura Regan (from THEY and MY LITTLE EYE) and William (SLITHER) MacDonald toplining. In the sequel, directed by Claudio Fäh from a script by Joel Soisson. Slater stars as a volunteer soldier/assassin who goes mad after he turns invisible. But unlike in the first film directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Kevin Bacon, the latest Hollow Man faces an invisible protagonist this time, a cop trying to protect the story’s heroine (Regan). “Yes, there are two Hollow Men, hence the title,” a source close to the production said. “One is good and the other evil, and they duke it out. The fight scenes are awesome.” As before, the invisibility experiments affect the subjects both mentally and physically, though now, the characters become mutated once they reappear. The movie is based on the upcoming book "Behind the Mask" by Thomas Harris, to be released on November 29. Filming is scheduled to begin in September in Lithuania, Czech Republic and France. The Lecter Variation is just a working title to the movie it may indeed take the same title as the book or 'Young Hannibal'. Peter Webber will direct the movie with Dino Di Laurentis producing. Gong Li is the first person to be cast in the movie. She will play Lady Murasaki, the Japanese woman who teaches cultural sophistication to a young Hannibal Lecter. Gaspard Ulliel is in final talks to play the role of the young Hannibal Lecter. Macauley Culkin and Hayden Christensen also screen tested for the role. Rhys Ifans will play the man who murders Hannibal's parents. Kevin McKidd will play Lecters Father. Anthony Hopkins will narrate during the movie. The movie will portray Hannibal Lecter during several years of his childhood. Synopsis:The movie shows a young Hannibal Lecter in three different phases of his life from childhood in Lithuania to his ten years in France before he moves to America. We have learned that Topher Grace of That 70s Show will play the immortal VENOM in Sam Raimi's third Spiderman adaptation. We told you guys a few months back that "someone" has snagged the rights to the character of Venom off of New Line Cinema and it was reported a few days ago that Grace had been "bulking up"- so we decided it was time to put the pressure on. So there you have it VENOM! Now as for the other two stars listed above we've been told that Thomas Haden Church will in fact play SANDMAN and that James Franco will play HOBGOBLIN and not the Green Goblin II (like in the comics). OMEGA RED and GAUNLET will be featured briefly in the film, in a scene that resembles the X-Men Evolution episode where the same two characters are chasing after the character, X23.
