BEWITCHED

Out in California's San Fernando Valley, Isabel is trying to reinvent herself. A naïve, good-natured witch, she is determined to disavow her supernatural powers and lead a normal life. At the same time, across town, Jack Wyatt a tall, charming actor is trying to get his career back on track. He sets his sights on an updated version of the beloved 1960s situation comedy Bewitched, re-conceived as a starring vehicle for himself in the role of the mere-mortal Darrin. Fate steps in when Jack accidentally runs into Isabel. He is immediately attracted to her and her nose, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the nose of Elizabeth Montgomery, who played Samantha in the original TV version of Bewitched. He becomes convinced she could play the witch Samantha in his new series. Isabel is also taken with Jack, seeing him as the quintessential mortal man with whom she can settle down and lead the normal life she so desires. It turns out they're both right--but in ways neither of them ever imagined.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Running Time: 1 hr. 46 min.

Release Date: July 15th, 2005 (international)

MPAA Rating: PG for quirky situations, action and mild language.

Distributor: Warner Bros. Pictures

Starring: Johnny Depp, Freddie Highmore, David Kelly, Helena Bonham Carter and Deep Roy.

Directed by: Tim Burton.

What's The Story?

There are five golden tickets hidden in candy bars scattered around the world. Anyone who finds one is invited to meet the strange and mysterious chocolatier Willy Wonka and join him on a tour of his wondrous factory. For Charlie Bucket, a lonely kid from a poor family, finding a ticket could be the opportunity of a lifetime.

Three Good Reasons

• It's the fourth collaboration between director Tim Burton and star Johnny Depp, who always bring out the best (and weirdest) in each other.

• Screenwriter John August directly adapted the Roald Dahl novel. He didn't see the 1971 original film until after he was finished.

• Depp recommended Freddie Highmore for the role of Charlie after working with the young actor in "Finding Neverland."

Spider-man 3:

SuperheroHype has heard gotten a scoop though that the film will feature not just two but four villains in the film: Venom, Sandman, Hobgoblin and Vulture. It's relatively clear that Haden Church and Grace will be playing either Venom or Sandman. They could be positioning James Franco to somehow morph into Hobgoblin in a sort of altered version of the comic's events (where Harry became the "second" Green Goblin). I always figured they'd get Dylan Baker to reprise his Curt Connors/Lizard role in the third film.

Pirates of the Carrribean 2: Dead Man's Chest news:

Today Variety confirmed that he'll be in the third sequel as Captain Sao Feng, "a notorious pirate who plays a major role in the second sequel." He joins all the major players Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush and newbies (to the franchise) Naomie Harris, Bill Nighy and Stellan Skarsgård. Shooting on the second sequel, sub-titled DEAD MAN'S CHEST, is currently on hiatus in order to give director Gore Verbinksi some post-prouduction time. Production is expected to resume in mid-August in LA and the Caribbean. When shooting resumes, it's expected that the bulk of the time will be spent filming the third sequel with only a small portion dedicated to the second sequel. CHEST is set for release July 7th of next year with the third sequel expected to hit theaters summer 2007.
