ksredna
Never. It'd be totally unacceptable. To earn an academic degree is about credit, honor, credibility and trust. You give credit and receive credit as credit is due. You EARN your degree with honor. That's the honor code of academics. Once you have your academic honor intact, you will build a credible reputation for your self. Based on this the trust in your is build. Trust is the starting point in all professional relationship. If business people and professionals are not trustworthy in academics, then the trust breaks down and society disintegrates. You cannot conduct business without huge cost of monitoring and control. Most likely, when trust is not wide spread in society, you will only conduct business with your family, your clan, people in your class, on/from your island. You will not trust them and they will not trust you. Most likely they will collude in their little groups to cheat the others that they don't trust and they will in turn return that towards you. Cheating in academics is showing that you are a person without honor and should not be trusted! It starts in grade 1. Quote Link to comment
mightbeyou
:goatee: well you must define cheating first in order to ascertain to what extent would be considered cheating...some would say mere talking to your seatmate is considered as such...to the extent of being resourceful in procuring answers for the exam...however, i believe that in one way or another all of us have cheated during an exam...just by simply glancing on others papers would give you an idea already...it may not be completely cheating but it still contributes to it... :goatee: Quote Link to comment

hungryenjoycoke
i seldom cheat in class... cguro once or twice lang...the reason, they would let me..hehehe... but most of the time, i was the one being cheated... I can't forget this incident when I was in highschool. Examination day, i was eagerly answering my test papers because i don't want to be the last person to pass my paper so i could move away immediately into temptation of letting classmates cheat or it is me who could peak and then worry on my answers... BUt there was this classmate of mine whom i noticed she was not answering her testpapers, instead she's busy looking at me or at some of my classmates... (AYUN PALA...!) My classmate said to me "________, 1-10 nga..." Fcuk! i could fell in my chair that instant!Since, she's one of my barkada...hay... i let her copy my test paper. 1-10... then after a few minutes, asked me: " 11-20..." then "21-30". I could remember our exam is a 50-item test. The next time, she asked me...ah.... i gave her some wrong ones... sobrang abuso ako when i was still studying...i was really abused mentally and emotionally. Quote Link to comment
hungryenjoycoke
MY #1 rule if you're going to cheat on me in exams (my classmates knew this so well): SHARPEN YOUR SENSES! You should have a clear eyesight when you peek at my paper. You should have a clean ear drums when I whisper some answers..because i would just say it once...You should feel and sense when to peek, when to ask, and when not to...
