I have been intentionally staying away from Solaire in recent weeks having been almost always on the losing side every time I go to play the slot machines.

 

Last night, I felt the itch and was not able to resist the temptation.

 

While passing by the poker tables on my way to my favorite slot machines, one of the Solaire casino ladies invited me to join one of the poker table empty seats.

 

I had my baptism of fire in poker last night. I was there from around 10 pm until 3:30 am.

 

I lost some money last night. But, I enjoyed the game. Towards the end, I started to get the hang of it.

 

I might now shift from slots to the poker table.

Yes, that's why I prefer table games more than slot machines aside from getting good odds, you could talk and chat a bit with other players in the table. And hindi mabilis maubos ang pera compared sa slot machine. hehe

If I had played with the slot machines the whole time, my pockets and ATM would have been empty by the time I left Solaire.

Exactly sir. That is what I'm telling you before go with table games instead. Sa poker you play against other players naman and the casino just get some commission on the winnings.... you just have to familiarize with the rules and learn to bluff hehe.... btw, is it a young or old lady? haha

Yup. With poker, not everything is left to chance as in the slot machines. You have some control over your fate in the table. If you learn how to read how the other players play their hand, your chances of winning goes up.

Certainly, I will be back to play poker. It is a "thinking" game. It is a "strategy" game. You have to think and strategize, not only to win but how to optimize your take. For example, if you have a very good hand and you are certain that you will the game, you don't immediately bet a big amount or else, they will just all fold and you end up winning only a small amount. You start by betting a relatively small amount and increase it in each round and you end up winning a big amount.
