Mister.Jay
Heard most users still prefer win 7 over win 8. Personally I don't like the UI of win 8. Kung touch capable laptop mo lang ma-appreciate ang Win8. But aside from that feature, mas okay and mas stable si Win7. Quote Link to comment

mrmesh
Windows 8 is very stable and faster than 7. Install a 3rd party start button and you will never go back to 7. I like the fact na you can just type on screen to search functionalities Na hanap mo Quote Link to comment

gamehunter
For enterprise users who are focused on productivity the new tiles interface is a step backward. It is quite sad given that the new windows have performance tweaks such as improved booting and memory management, it is still shunned by office users because of its 'toy' interface. hit05
Win 8 got a marketing strategy patterned after apple's ipad where you need to register a personal account in order to get upgrades of software in a common store. Hope that changes too on Win 8.1. Overall, it does work better on new hardware devices probably due to better drivers support. But slightly better overall, and no major leap forward if you ask me. sonicblue
Recently I ran into a major inconvenience with Windows 8. They removed the WiFi Profiles list window (where you can manage wireless connections previously used). It's counter-intuitive when you have to use the CLI just to remove a WiFi profile.
