Gtayo11
The breaking down of barriers has pros and cons. Like remember how foreign investing was for the regular rank and file worker but it's now easier to have a second job trading assets online I remember tweeting years ago that twitter made everyone think they can be comedian. Now, the same clowns are the type to think they're political historians without reading a credible source and couch sports analysts without getting in the ring/court 1 Quote Link to comment

RED2018
You have to admit that you have people on Facebook who are not related to you and some you barely know, but who still comments on their photos or offer a like now and again. Instead of offering your time and energy to the genuinely rewarding relationships in your life, you’re spending it on people you don’t really care about. Quote Link to comment

RED2018
Basically, when we see posts depicting lives we consider “better” than ours, our self-esteem takes a hit. As many of us are doing this for hours at a time, you can imagine the toll it's taking on our mental health. Therefore, if you want to raise your self-esteem, leaving Facebook may be a good idea. 1 Quote Link to comment
HornyHRManager
Being active in social networks especially scrolling up and down for hours on end takes a toll on your mental health, and makes a person feel bad about themselves. Use social media in moderation. 2 Quote Link to comment

RED2018
Many of those who delete Facebook speak of widely recognised reasons for leaving the platform: concerns with its echo chamber effects, avoiding time wasting and procrastination, and the negative psychological effects of perpetual social comparison. 1 Quote Link to comment

RED2018
Quitting social media can also help you read emotions better. Many studies have found that social media interferes with our ability to pick up on social cues and subtle emotional expressions. Taking a break from social media allows those skills to return. It can also aid with emotional regulation Quote Link to comment
