bratzky1101
Quote Link to comment
Guest Vesper_
I must admit, Mayweather is a very smart defensive fighter. He read Pacquiao's offensive tactics very well. Pacquiao's weight of 152 did not help him at all. Slowed him down a lot...run, Floyd, run!! Lol! Congratulations to him though... Quote Link to comment
Kurtsky Keigee
What a fight! Was able to watch for free sa office I'm not a boxing fan but all I can say is that mayweather was fighting intelligently using mind games. Pacquiao has the speed but alot of his punches missed. What bothered me though is he had alot of hits to TMT's head which I thought counted in favor of Manny.Sad though, coz it would have been nice to have a Pinoy Boxer who would be someone to lessen MW's arrogance. All in all great fight. glut_func
Ok lang if thats what he decides. OK na naman accomplishments nya eh. Tsaka tatakbo syang senador di ba? ang tanong, can he focus on it? napilitan mag retire just to save face na lang kasi puro talo na sya, buti sana if he retired with a good fight engkaso hindi... i guess no more kids muna this time around for pacquiao and jinkee hehe... I have been reading comments like "Mayweather did not win that like a warrior"... lol. Its just sports anyway, talagang ganyan Quote Link to comment
glut_func
At the root of the loss was Pacquiao's playing Mayweather's game which was being cautious and that is not Manny Pacquiao. His smooth side to side movement and hitting at angles were not there. If Manny fought his fight, I think he would have landed more punches and may have won. You just don't fight your opponent's fight and expect to win. Moreover, Pacquiao was a sitting duck. sabi nga nung ibang analyst sa live blog ng yahoo, you just can't fight mayweather on a straight line, manny has to really catch up. Kahit si tyson napapailing din, sabi nya, manny has to keep jabbing - sure he throws a lot of punches but not all are connecting...tsk tsk Quote Link to comment

Kaya this game di ko na sineryoso oks lang matalo ng pera basta manalo si pacquiao, natalo si pacquiao at least nanalo ka naman sa pustahan may pampalubag loob. Quote Link to comment
glut_func
dapat pala nakipag pustahan ako sa mga tambay dito sa min, lahat sila pacquiao ako lang ang FMJ hahaha eh di sana masarap na ulam ko mamaya hehehe Quote Link to comment
bratzky1101
Playing safely na rin si pacquiao in that match, he throw less punches mahirap matshambahan ni gayweather sa isang suntok lang, yan si gayweather halos lahat ng matches niyan go for longer rounds, para yang krudo matagal mag init, unlike pacquiao sa umpisa pa lang mainit na. Larry
So many things going through my mind right now lol Manny lost that much was clear but I had it much closer than 8-4 Like I've said Floyd timed Manny perfectly late in the fight. But up until then Manny was doing the exact same thing to Floyd. The jab was very effective early in the fight, and the flurries really didn't do much damage it kept Floyd in place, if Manny had the footwork there he could have landed clean. Manny played a game that should have worked for a shorter and weaker opponent, not Floyd. He was getting countered Everytime and that made him think twice about getting inside. Plus the fact that Kenny Bayless let the clinching go on unchecked (holding is illegal in boxing, you shouldn't have to be warned more than 3 times before points are taken off reference Floyd-Castillo) took Manny off of his game. One thing though, Manny defended well, except for two shots in the first round,Floyd never landed flush on Manny. All in all, Manny fought but he didn't have enough to put this away,he was tentative when he shouldn't have been and he somehow forgot lateral movement. He had Floyd in legit trouble which gave Floyd Sr. Fits, but he couldn't take advantage. The longer reach and perfect timing of Floyd did him in. Quote Link to comment
Larry
And sure Floyd won But he effectively killed boxing Quote Link to comment
glut_func
^only speculation i got was he was playing way too safe..i mean, how could MP bring himself not to focus on the most important fight of his career? may LQ na naman ba sila ni jinkee? Quote Link to comment
Larry
Mayweather is known for his accuracy and Pacquiao was a willing victim by not moving around. In spite of that, I thought the worst case scenario for Manny was a draw. In this fight, Manny didn't bring his A-game. He was just not himself. It didn't seem like they had a good game plan going in. I knew immediately in the first 30 seconds when Manny wasn't throwing anything, that there was a problem. The thing was they didn't readjust accordingly. Quote Link to comment
