pros:

 

you'll have a different view of life, death, the afterlife, and the world in general

you'll be able to see those that are unseen by other people

depending on the "gift" you may be able to read a person's future

 

 

cons:

 

it can drive you crazy. especially when you can't distinguish the real from the unreal

people who have different views on the matter would call you names (ie devil worshipper, delusional, crazy, etc)

you open yourself to possible possession

it can be a burden on the mind and spirit

I don't believe in third eye. We have the tendency kasi to take the easy route especially on this things na di natin ma explain. Di na natin na consider baka coincidence lang yung sa pagdaan ng hangin, o baka hallucination, o baka may sira ang ulo, etc. Kasi mahirap yung,kailanagan pang research. E kung declare "third eye" agad, e di no more further questions.

 

Kahit sino naman e lagay mo sa unfamiliar na lugar na nag iisa sa dilim, nag ha-hypersensitive lahat na senses. Lahat na ini-isip mo parang totoo na.

Right. But there are specific methods, depending on the group. The book by Tuesday Lobsang Rampa (The Third Eye) in Tibetan Buddhism, mentioned "forced opening" the third eye. Vipassana Buddhism and Brahma Kumaris doesn't force the opening but via long meditation practice.

 

Kailangang may Guru sa ganitong practices. Hindi ito laro-laro lang.

Most with third eye may warn you that by opening it you cant go back to your previous normal life coz you may see things that normal people cant see. The power to see your future and your past life is one of the gift that you can earn but you may also have the ability to see what normal people cant see like ghost, people who died but still on earth and the likes.

 

There are scriptures that you have to understand and rituals. Thats beyond things that normal people dont want to go through.
