RED2018
One positive thing noted by Coach Chot was that no one in the Group where Gilas belong can outrun Jayson Castro- not even Puerto Rico's Barea Quote Link to comment

fatso8
tindi ng Pinas, dati China & Iran lang prinoproblema, ie, perfect gameplay para manalo. Ngayon, Argentina na! Mabuhay Gilas! Quote Link to comment
top secret
McGee is set to undergo an operation... so most probably he's out of the picture... Blatche would still be an upgrade on Douthit skills wise... I believe Gregg Slaughter could help our Gilas team frontline... I am hoping that either Barocca or Paul Lee would be considered too... bongbongman
Croatia first game sa august 30Greece next gameArgentina sunodPuerto RicoSenegal Ang first 3 games talagang mabibigat, lalo na ang greece (#5 in the world) at argentina (#3 in the world)Puerto Rico diyan masusukat kung kaya natin manaloAgainst Senegal baka mas malaki ang tsansa Andray Blatche is currently injured pero parang minor lang. Tingin ko Chot Reyes will tinker with the line-up to give us the best chance of defeating PR and Senegal. Sana magulat natin yung Crotia kasi first game. Quote Link to comment

bongbongman
Top 16 would be a great gift to the basketball crazy fans of the country, para na ring nanalo ng gold yan Quote Link to comment
top secret
Mukang mas magandang isama si Barocca in place of LA Tenorio... Ang ganda ng nilaro ni Pingris sa series against Barangay Ginebra... lumalaban kahit mas malalaki ang katapat nya... talagang kailangan sya ng Gilas... Makakatulong din kung maisasama si Slaughter... Mango Man
Blatche will be a good addition because he is a very good scorer, our big men all cannot score. But he doesnt seem to be as adept at rebounding and defense. Plus he has a history of behavior problems. Quote Link to comment
bongbongman
Barroca should play hindi si LA or Alapag. We need somebody who speed up the game, hindi pwedeng si Jayson Castro lang. Maganda yung ginagawa ni Tim Cone na kahit point guard binabantayan ni Pingris, it shows may speed siya and he can guard kahit mga shooters sa FIBA. Quote Link to comment
RED2018
Beating Argentina is a wishful thinking (even without Ginobili); sa Senegal lang may tsansa; sa iba tsamba lang Quote Link to comment
top secret
Beating Argentina is a wishful thinking (even without Ginobili); sa Senegal lang may tsansa; sa iba tsamba lang I would quote a retired basketball coach who was asked about his thoughts on the FIBA World championship; - They must study the line-up and styles of Senegal, Puerto Rico and Croatia. They must prepare seriously against those teams because that's where they have a chance of winning. The games against Argentina and Greece would be treated as practice/tune-up (and rest for the players who are playing heavy minutes) since there would be a very slim chance of winning anyway... The final line-up will also depend on their preparations against those 3 teams... a possibility of bringing just 2 points guards (they have 3 point guards right now)and adding more height and shooters... Only 6 from the current line-up are almost guaranteed to make it - Fajardo, De Ocampo, Pingris, Chan, Norwood, and Castro. Quote Link to comment
