Chief, if MVP decides to make Reyes coach of ADMU in exchange for Tab coaching Gilas, would you be amenable?

 

hahahaha you're putting me in a spot chief. honestly though, i'd prefer coach tab handling gilas. i'd like to see the philippines lord it over its asian rivals again. let's prioritize flag and country. ateneo with mr. reyes? i guess i can live with that...pwede ko naman siya murahin pag manonood ako ng ateneo games hahahahaha

Pero once upon a time Chot Reyes is part of SMC.. Naging coach nga din sya ng San Miguel sa PBA..

Tapos naging coach din sya ng national team na ang sponsor ay SMC under the banner of Magnolla... After malift ang ban sa Philippines ay sya din ang naging coach natin sa FIBA Asia championship and we almost beat Iran who later on won that Gold and went all the way to Fiba world... He is also responsible for bringing quality fil ams sa national team.. Norwood, Kelly Williams, alapag to name a few..idagdag nyo pa yung ibang mga SMC players right now na sila Lassiter, Slaughter and iba pa.

 

I think ok namang coach si Chot eh. Pero sana he will try to innovate and add other effective strategies.. Less drama na din sana..wag gaano maging showbiz.. Siguro dala na din ng very passionate sya sa Phil.Basketball.. Support nalang natin.

 

correction there. It was not chot who brought these guys to the national team.

Alapag was discovered by Ron Jacobs, wala pa sya sa PBA pero player na sya ng national team. Same with Lassiter and Slaughter, it was Rajko Toroman who handled Gilas 1.0 (the original), nasa TNT pa si chup reyes nung panahon na to.

 

Kelly Williams was with Yeng Guiao and Tim Cone during their respective National Team stints.

 

If CTC and YG were given the freedom and financial backing like Chup is enjoying right now back then, for sure panis lahat ng accomplishments nitong si Chup sa Gilas.

hindi uubra.. kaya nga si Ricky Vargas na good soldier niya at si pato gregorio ang mga nakaupo sa SBP at POC para ma monopolyo ni bakla ang Phil. Basketball. Mga tauhan niya ang nakaupo sa SBP na dating BAP na pinamumunuan dati ni Peping Cojuangco. Hanggat hawak ng MVP camp ang SBP, wag tayo umasa.

batang gilas downs the mighty chinese team. edu, sotto, ildefonso, panopio, amsali and tamayo (injured) will be the future of philippine basketball. dapat talaga magaling ang coach na hahawak dito sa mga batang ito. their full potential must have to be maximized. ang ganda siguro ng development ng mga batang ito kung si coach tab ang maging coach.

I like this team. Tall and with lots of potential. Huwag lang macoach ng maling coach tulad ni Chot Reyes. The guys on this team together with our version of Kobe Bryant and Kyrie Irving? Not bad. Not bad at all. Edu is quick and is not scared to mix it up inside. He's athletic and I can see him being a dominant and intimidating player inside with a medium-range jumper. He's also a rejection machine who is quick enough to follow players driving to the basket.
