Ron Paparoon
Well I think that without any valid reason, abortion is not a very wise option. First, abortion would destroy the natural lining of the uterus thus putting all following pregnancies at risk for involuntary abortion. Also the damaged uterus might cause infertility, and also might lead to some other medical conditions. Also if not properly done, it might lead to PID, which might also be a cause of death. Madami talagang disadvantages ang abortion. So the only time we can rely on this procedure is when it is necessary. If not, it is not recommended. Quote Link to comment

Ron Paparoon
Victim ng? Rape? Well I don't know. Choice of the victim. But in my opinion.. I think it shouldn't be done. Kasi, para sa akin wala naman kasalanan yung bata.. It's not a choice, it is a life sabi nga nila. Quote Link to comment
SaintPeter5858
Nice opinion there Master Fragile. But I cannot also downplay the social implication. Once you have the child, the responsibility is endless. Can the mother bear all the responsibility all by herself for the next 20 or so years? Quote Link to comment
Ron Paparoon
Nice opinion there Master Fragile. But I cannot also downplay the social implication. Once you have the child, the responsibility is endless. Can the mother bear all the responsibility all by herself for the next 20 or so years? Yes, there is a great responsibility in raising a child. Kung dalawang tao nga minsan hirap magpalaki ng bata, nag-iisang parent pa kaya? And at times when the child is a product of something unwanted (like anak ng nang rape sa isang babae), it is much worse. For some of them, seeing the child is like living the nightmare every single day. We can never blame the victim of course. So para maiwasan ang ganitong pangyayari, certain people made support groups for abused women and their children. Some groups provide counselling, and some even provide education, workshop and livelihood programs and offer jobs, as support for the victims. Isipin na lang natin na, the child is innocent so why should the child suffer the consequences? To think of it: abortion is a classic example of a victim, victimizing another victim of the same circumstance. Is there a way of legalizing it? With our conservative views, and with the church.. I think there isn't any way to legalize it. And majority of good health care providers (doctors and nurses), with the training and knowledge about the subject, does not recommend it, unless it is necessary to save or prolong life.
