Obelisk
i was wondering between the two which one is better, so far xbox 360 can be hacked to play bootleg games so that's a plus, however if you look at the ps3, you get a decent blu ray player. follow up question on xbox 360. do we have xbox live here? johnlove
I heard that both companies are planning to come up with a 'wii' type controller. Quote Link to comment
Jacknife
i own a PS3 for 6 months now ... everytime na nakakakita ako ng library ng 360 .. parang may buyers remorse ako. mas nagagamit ko pa madalas yung PC for gaming compared sa PS3. One advantage is Bluray .. pero balita ko meron ng $100 BR player ... which is much cheaper kesa sa PS3.Cons naman sa 360 ... yung game library nila halos lahat nasa PC. If you have a good gaming PC .. chances are malalaro mo rin yung mga games sa 360. Quote Link to comment
nuper17
If you are in to games, then go to xbox360....but when you like bluray and games choose ps3 but sony is far more expensive. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
miyong76
ps3 has a lot of titles to play with while xbox360 has way cooler cgi engine. it depend kung gameplay or graphic addict ka. Quote Link to comment
mmanson
im also thinking of getting an xbox360 or ps3. thanks for the inputs! Quote Link to comment
Anaheim
not that i am encouraging piracy but there are tons of cheap pirated discs for the Xbox 360 while pirated discs for the PS3 are still hard to come by. the best selling console happens to be the xbox 360 because of the rampant pirated Xbox 360 discs, i'd say go for the xbox 360 instead if you want to save those hard earned doughs of yours 1 Quote Link to comment
bill_262003
Am also thinking of buying a game console. But part of my list is the Wii Your input regarding the two consoles (PS3 vs Xbox 360) has been informative. But can we do a three way comparison? Wii vs PS3 vs Xbox 360? Am not really a serious gamer, but i want a console that my kids can also play with, that is why i am more inclined to go with the Wii. What do you guys think? Hope this is not OT. royginald
Buying a gaming console here in Pinas always have a follow up question "nakakapagPlay ba ng P Games yan??" Strengths of the next Game Consoles (for me) Wii - targeted more of young gamers... a more interactive way of gaming especially with their controllers that you sometimes need to "swing". The palette of in game colors is very limited .. meaning your next game drop jaw graphics is not in this console.. But gaming you wants Wii deliver.. with lots of game library ... (you can even play games on external HDD) XBox360 - for Microsoft fans.. and for a quick PC to Console translation... XBox 360 is the first choice of PC gamers ..if your tired of your PC monitor keypad and mouse .. XBox 360 is fresh breath of air (but really it's the same air your breathing(playing)... hehehe) ..lots of titles available on your suking P Gam vendors....just watch out for that dreaded 3RL.. PS3 - For more serious gamers that have enough dough to spare... for some time PS3 have its double purpose, a next generation gaming console and at the same time an BD player.. but with the BD player price surprisingly dropping (as low as 11k)... with its "security" still not cracked meaning no P Games here... and games from 1.5kphp Up.. you might want to consider if you're really a Fan.. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3625/3489558157_6093e8801a.jpg . . . johnlove
Has anyone heard of 'project natal'? Quote Link to comment
iamnoangel
Just an input. Don't buy the earlier version of 360. It has a hardware failure regarding temperatures. For me I go for PS3 because I live in the PS series. But the XBOX live is a good technology. Though PS3 has a counterpart XBOX Live is far better. Quote Link to comment
jengjeng
i have both ps3 and xbox360jasper ed... go for the ps3... seriously... my xbox here ... well.. lets just say... its kinda useless... because.. you need to pay more.. just to get the same things.. you use the normal...batteries.. double a for the xbox... (need to buy a chargeable battery...) i mean... you need to .. have a wifi adapter... to go online.. once online.. you have to be subscribed... so you pay monthly.. or buy prepaid cards.. at stores... plus you can't play with it for a long time... to be safe from that horrible ring of death... a max of 3 hours of play time... well 4 if you're in an airconned room.. plus a lot more of heart aches... (if it wasnt for halo 3 and left 4 dead i wouldn't buy the xbox 360...) ..... so dagdag gastos.... tlga... ps3 = built in na lahat.. plus you dont need to pay more just to enjoy.. it has wifi... built in battery for the controllers .... ps3 slim is coming out... around 300 $ = around 15 k... quite good for its price... .... but im not just sure about how its performance... coz the ps3 im using... can take... up to 8 hours straight playing... so im quite amen to that long playing... .... so for me go for ps3 Quote Link to comment
charles_01
definitely for PS3 Quote Link to comment
beergin
AM thinking of getting PS3 just because of Gran Turismo... (4 ba yung latest or 5 na? yung sumunod sa prologue...) anyway, just wondering if gran turismo is available in the other platforms (ie xbox or pc)... Quote Link to comment
bastus1n
PS3. Sirain xbox 360 pag matagalang gamit. Quote Link to comment
deijitaru
you don't need to buy a wifi adapter in order to play online with the 360. it has an ethernet port that you can connect with (which is basically faster and more stable than wifi anyway). comparing the add-ons you'd buy isn't really necessary. microsoft gives you what you need from the start. if you don't need a wifi adapter, then don't buy it. if you're not going to play online, don't pay for xbox live gold. jengjeng
yeah.. the xbox360 has an ethernet port...yes it is more stable. if you have it connected via this... so does the ps3 .. you could also connect a ethernet cable to it well.. i guess it really just depends on the situation/setup of the user... if for example.. you have a setup that uses a wifi connection.. (less wires) like mine.. well you'll need a wifi adapter... for the xbox.. (but wouldn't it be cool to connect you're console to your laptop / pc ???? ) ............if you're an avid gamer.. wouldn't it be more cost effective to have a rechargeable controller? .....or if you just play for leisure and not most of the time.. those double A batt for the 360 would hold on... ................................also .. as for the memory.. if im not mistaken.. the ps3 has a built in one already.. but.. for the xbox you'll need to buy a harddrive... (jasper edition...)just to save you're games into.. but... if you're the type of guy.. that can live with using the cds.. then its your choice (it depends on the bundle you'll buy) ....................................if you're into movies.. and has a flat screen HDTV . i would suggest you go for the ps3... ... since the ps3 is capable of playing blu rays... (the original ones.. the one worth around 1500++)can you say 1080p (droooool) im not just quite sure for the 360... .... ... but if for example you're playing online for a game in ps3... versus the same game in xbox360.. wouldn't it be cost effective to have the ps3? ... you'll be enjoying the same stuff.. when in the xbox you'll need to subscribe? ...and pay for it... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>play hours.. differs.. since we are in a tropical country... most of the time it would be hot here... i have tried and played A ps3.. for 8 hours straight.. thankfully its still here .. standing.. and around a year old.. as for the xbox.. (jasper ed) the longest time i have it turned on was around 4 hours..sad to say when you're in the meat grinder in certain games.. it gives an awful feeling to turn it off because it might have the ring of death...when turned on for the longest time... ....................................................just a little more info... according to a technical guy from data blitzthese would be the usual problems the problem with ps3 would be in their lens...(if im not mistaken) the problem with xbox360 would be its ring of death when it overheats... as of the last time i talked with the guy... there seemed to be no problem with the new jasper edition... as long as you play it around 3-4hours at the most... .................................................................................... well bottom line... if you have the money .. to spend.. it would be nice to be able to have them both... hehehe if you're looking for a basic package.. not wanting to experience online games, other amenities.. and the like... xbox 360 would be okay... if you have the extra money to give... the ps3 would be the choice... but dont make a conclusion that making the xbox360 at par.. with the stuff that you get with a normal ps3 would cost you minimal...it would cost you a bit more... and would defeat the purpose if you have a budget .................................................................... heck.. when i saw project natal.. i was really impressed.... (just wondering.. would it be just an add on for the 360 or would there be a new console needed for it? ....) anyway... there.. it really depends on the buyer and the user >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> i guess the buyer just needs to weigh the pros and cons of the consoles...... because only the buyer would know his situation... methos
I'd still go for PS3. Let's just say I'm sick and tired of seeing and hearing all those 'issues' for the 360. . . Quote Link to comment

phidze
Performance wise I think PS3 got the edge, what can I say BLUERAY rules... but games availability ( particular pirated disc ), XBOX got the numbers. Quote Link to comment
