Hopefully Alex Eala's recent success will elevate the sport here in the PH. Much like what Efren did to Billiards in the late 90s.

@DinaFritz legendary na si Alex Eala. first Filipina WTA Champion na Philippine flag talaga ang binabandera. at only age 20. at during the same year kung kailan madami siyang pinabagsak na high rankers.

Alex Eala advanced to the third round of the 2026 Canadian Open with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 win over Alycia Parks of the United States.

Can anyone explain how Alex Eala playing in the Asian Games instead of China Open is considered a patriotic act?

China Open - Alex Eala and the Philippine government stand to earn millions of dollars.

Asian Games - $0, trophy/medal only, later the Philippine government might even have to spend for penalties.
