photographer
Healthy Kerby Raymundo puzzled by benching in Ginebra’s final match Rey Joble, InterAKTV · Sunday, December 16, 2012 · 8:42 pm http://cms.interaksyon.com/interaktv/assets/2012/09/kerby-raymundo-solo.jpgAKTV/Paolo Papa Kerby Raymundo was a picture of frustration shortly after Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s defeat to Rain or Shine Sunday, a loss that signalled the end of the Gin Kings’ Philippine Cup campaign. But what hurts more for the former all-star forward is the fact that he wasn’t even fielded in for a single minute in the defeat. “Feeling ko wala akong naitulong,” Raymundo told InterAKTV in an exclusive interview. He said he is also clueless as to why he wasn’t used in Game Three of the quarterfinals series. “I’m healthy. Wala akong injury. Hindi ko alam bakit hindi ako nakakalaro, pero siguro dahil hindi ko makuha yung rhythm ko.” Raymundo was acquired by Ginebra from B-MEG in a blockbuster trade last season in exchange for JC Intal. Once expected to be the team’s top post option, Raymundo has struggled to fit in with the team’s guard-oriented system. But Raymundo said the adjustment should not come from him. “Wala kong balak baguhin sa laro ko,” he said. With his contract expiring in August, Raymundo has started to ponder his future. “Siguro I have to sit down with my family and consult them about my plans,” he said. Quote Link to comment

ray004
sometimes i can't fathom siot's system. kawawang kerby Quote Link to comment
junix
+1 i'll not be surprised if kerby will ask that he be traded...sayang kung ganyan nga ang mangyayari. a lot of talents being wasted by tangquincen. even maliksi is not being given the playing time. nakakahinayang kasi alam naman natin na makakatulong sila. pogingchinito
sa sobrang pagbabangko ng mga players, pag nilabas sa mga susunod na game. nagkakalat na. Sayang talaga.. Quote Link to comment
pogingchinito
Kailangan din ng Gin Kings ng Center. sobrang dami nila guard. Quote Link to comment
thegame08
oo nga no nalimutan si kerby, pero ang ganda kasi ng nilaro ni billy sometimes i can't fathom siot's system. kawawang kerby Admittedly maganda ang laro ni Billy sa substitution pattern na ginagamit ni Siot so babad s'ya along with Rico sa loob, pero nawalan ng playing time si Kerby at maging sina Jensen at Maliksi. Tingin ko dapat nila ayusin substitution patters nila, matangkad si Rico pero tingin ko natural position na babagay sa kanya is the no. 3 spot, ilagay si Kerby sa no. 4 at si Mamaril sa no. 5, Siot is only using several players at 'di dapat ganun, dapat me variations din.. thedarknight
sayang ang BGK this season pero alam ko babawi sila sa susunod. we cannot blame the coaching staff pero sana nga lang na-consider nila ang ibang players like kerbi which a veteran player too. Quote Link to comment

photographer
FROST BYTE: KERBY’S MINUTES – GOING…GOING…. By SNOW BADUA 2:49 pm | Wednesday, December 19th, 2012 http://pba.inquirer.net/files/2012/12/121912-Kerby-Raymundo_header.jpg Because of the measly playing time given his prized big man Kerby Raymundo, well known player agent Danny Espiritu is set to meet with team officials of Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel. But Espiritu clarified that this move is not to seek a trade for Raymundo but to ask the management about the team’s plan for the fleet-footed slotman. “Kakausapin ko lang naman yung management. Tatanong ko kung ano ba plano nila? Pero never ako manghihingi ng trade. Unethical yun!” exclaimed Espiritu, whose other player Robert Labagala also fights for minutes under Coach Siot Tanquingcen. Raymundo, who reportedly bolted out of B-Meg Llamados last year because of a decrease in playing minutes, had seen himself languishing on the Ginebra bench longer. In the Kings’ series versus Rain or Shine, the 31-year-old Orion, Bataan native experienced a major decline in his exposure on the court. In the first game of the best-of-3 series, Raymundo played for 14 minutes and recorded 3 rebounds, 2 assists & 1 steal, missing all four field goal attempts in a frustrating 65-82 loss to the Elasto Painters. In Ginebra’s 79-77 Game 2 win, Raymundo was hardly a factor, playing for only 3 minutes, as then best player Rudy Hatfield ate up most of the playing time. The series clincher was more disappointing for the 10-time PBA All-Star as he was not fielded in for even a single second. “Nakausap ko si Kerby after the game, OK naman siya upbeat naman. Saka alam naman niya na wala siyang karapatang humingi ng trade, kasi hanggat under contract siya, team ang magdedecide nun,” said Espiritu. “Gusto ko lang ipaalam sa lahat na masaya si Kerby sa Ginebra kasi playoffs contender yung team at dun gustong gustong lumalaro nung bata. Ilang beses ngang lumaban for MVP dati yan di ba?” recalled Espiritu, who handles the career of other marquee players like Mark Caguioa, Arwind Santos and Mark Cardona. Despite the limited exposure, Raymundo no doubt is still among the league’s most versatile big man who can take outside shots or bang his body at the post. Quote Link to comment
