As long as you are prepared for any unforeseen events you are good to go (also a solo rider here) But having a buddy or two specially on long rides or trips to remote places would always be recommended. There is just one instance that I took a risk riding solo at Rizal and I almost did not complete it since I experienced cramps on my legs and I had no one to assist. Quote Link to comment

May pulikat ako na ayaw maalis, initial findings at deep vein thrombosis... Pero after Doppler, malapot lang daw dugo ko sa legs. Pa suggest naman how I can get back to biking without killing myself. With that you can already get a branded hardtail with good components such as Giant XTC (70k+), Giant Fathom (70k+), or a Trek Excalibur (60k+).
