All About Hongkong! Shopping, Hotels, Tourist Spots - Merged Threa

Recommended Posts

The key to finding bargains in HK is research.

Know what you want to buy -- the model, style, price in the Philippines, and prices on the internet.

In general, I always buy what is made in that country.

Hence, when I go to Thailand and look at sports clothes, I check the NIKE label and make sure it is "made in Thailand".

Same thing with HK, if it's not made there or "made in China", you can be sure it will be expensive.

But the sales in HK can be generous. Buy "off season" -- swimsuits when autumn has began. Winter clothes at the start of spring.

Unless you want to be trendy. There are several outlet stores, Citygate being one of the biggest.

Just remember, just because it is in HK, it is not cheap. They just might have the latest styles and models -- which will take 3 to 4 months to find its way to the Philippines.

true, homme et femme is pretty okay na rin with the prices, although i don't like the selection that much. but if you want to buy now, well that's the only place to buy it here in manila.

who shops at the I.T shops, I haven't visited hongkong for the last 2 yrs, so i don't know if the I.T shops are still worth visiting when it comes to some off-season designer items.

for the Shoppingerras, go to Tung Chung, Citygate Outlet. You'll find sport's wears, accessories, designer fashions and children's wear in an air-conditioned shopping mall. Its just a minute walk from Tung Chung MTR.

There are more than 50 stores with discounts up to 60% OFF, like Mango, PUMA, Adidas, Nike, Giordano, Esprit, CLub 21 (which houses DKNY, Armani), Prada, Coach, Burberry, Kate Spade etc. hinigop ako ng mga shops sa Hong Kong. buti nakalabas ako ng buhay!

I was about to report this, pero meron na palang post.

This is a very good shopping outlet for branded items. I get my sneakers here, and they mark down their prices way ahead of Nike and Adidas in the Philippines. You could get them for as low as 50% off while they're still full price in Manila. Great shops too, wide selection of shoe models, unlike in depots in Manila. They also have a good bakeshop downstairs and coffee shops all around, in case you need a mid-shopping snack break.
