cheeselogger
Chicken Nuggets- Pat Riley's scouting trip must have had a detour to the Philippines or bro cal! just idolizes the slick-haired HOF coach a lot. with a lot of passed up proven veterans in the draft, the Nuggets picked up almost all of them. Hanley Ramírez as his first overall pick looks like the only player with much upside but if you look more closely, this squad has some sleeper's that can and will suprise us. a menacing batting order with not much holes in it, this team is a favorite to blow the competition away every week. an outstanding array of speedsters with the top Marlin, Japanese imports Ichiro & Matsui, and the Dodgers Furcal and a power-hitting crew of Indians' Hafner, Red Sox' Ramírez, outspoken Sheffield and new LAA OF Hunter makes this fierce lineup the scariest collection of batters I've seen in any fMLB league (more than 10 teams at least) I've been part of. as insurance, bro cal! picked up oft-injured Met Delgado, new Cardinal 3B Glaus, and new Brewer CF Cameron for that much hoped for bounce back season/s. the achilles heel I can only see with this lineup is the volatile White Sox C Pierzynski but what the heck, this will be too criminal if he had no weak spot right? the Nuggets'pitching isn't lagging too far behind their awesome offense with the Peavy and Beckett duo leading the way. backstopped by Sheets, Escobar and Jiménez, there would be no easy time against this staff. the only thing the Nuggets'might need to fortify more is his lone closer is only Saito and the Dodgers'import is not young anymore. how Ruthrie and Martínez will perform this year will be the x-factors for the Nuggets' romp to the championship. bro Cal!'s Rileyesque approach really isn't that too detrimental for his team's future but he has to start carefully plugging in his vets' spots in the next few drafts to ensure he will continue his more than probable great season this year.
