id take pujols wolverine-ish recuperatory ability at #1

and as they say 1B is deep, in case he gets injured there would be options..

 

if you take someone who plays in a shallow position like hanram or utley in the first round and they get injured, you are screwed..

i have a different take on how to handle shallow positions.. baligtad ang ideology ko, ewan ko lang kung bakit or kung nagwowork ba..

naisip ko lang kasi if you take the top ranked player in a shallow position and he gets injured, you cant replace even 1/10th of his production, edi sa mejo mid level fantasy contributor na lang ako for that position and take the top ranked player in a deep position instead.. doesnt make sense ata..

naalala ko lang last year sa annual league..

the one who drafted Pujols followed it with Teixeira.

it was a comebacker. he was 16th in our 16-teamer.

eh Pujols pa lang pala, sulit na siya.

sadly, he didnt win..

 

sa lahat talaga ng positions, 1B ang sinasabing safest position to go with a 1st-rounder.

OF's too deep, and master B said it right on the shallow positions 2B, SS and even C.

sa 1B (and also 3B), tama lang.. you could replace with someone if your top-tier guy's injured.

 

 

@ajb: pag nilaglag mo yan, marami ang sasalubong dyan. its gonna be like piranhas on a dead body.
