omega2959
The Philippines has the second lowest average Internet speed in Asia, just above Pakistan, can you believe that? The reason why is PLDT's monopoly of the Internet connection business in the country. Read this, https://www.reddit.com/r/Philippines/comments/2aurzq/how_pldt_deliberately_keeps_local_internet yup. maybe also the reason that pldt can offer uncapped data compared to its rivals Quote Link to comment

richardcastro
Thanks! Quote Link to comment

Pustie
Sadly, the internet speed here in the Philippines is very slow vs. the high fee we pay for it Quote Link to comment

leaderofthebibes
Speedtest.net is only testing your connection with your isp, but it has no significance on the speed that you are getting when browsing or downloading. There are other external testing device for that. Quote Link to comment

The Cunning Linguist
I still remember the time when Smart was just introducing their LTE, I was one of the very few using it. My download connection speed was constantly above 35 Mbps and upload at around 10 Mbps...ahhhh those were the days Quote Link to comment
