Classic Films

Recommended Posts

yeah, i love this film too. it's a great spoof of superhuman-detective films dominating the late sixties. you're lucky to have this, must have come amazon.com?

btw, how do you classify 'classic films' in this forum? are they films from 1970 and earlier? i have watched ALL oscar best pictures and i'm quite a collector myself. though i must admit i slumbered off 50% while watching cavalcade and 7 others.

when i had the luck to have 2 daughters (13 and 14 years ago), i made sure they'll appreciate watching 'classic' films too. so from serious subjects they somehow steered my passion to light subjects. now 60% of our collection now fall into comedy, animation and suspense categories.

i'm even luckier 'cause the bulk of my collection is courtesy of my friendly neighborhood pirates.

here's one i'm sure you'd appreciate:

it's a boxed set.

siguro, dahil walang moderator sa thread dito, for me "classic" na basta a film stands the test of time (in other words, it has become timeless, remaining relevant (i.e., edifying, entertaining, emotionally interesting, or whatever passes as cultural transmission from one generation to the next) so it nicely ties in with what you've been trying to accomplish with your daughters

Just saw Amadeus (1984 nga ba ito?) recently. Great movie, and although it wasn't historically accurate, great story telling.

At dahil ang forum na ito ay forum ng mga gentlemenyaks (hehehe)...watch out for that scene when Mozart was fooling around with his then-girlfriend Constanze. Laki ng boobs ni Constanze, nilaplap pa niya...too bad hindi nila tinuloy na mag-all the way :P
