SaintPeter5858
Try thinking about your future and your family's welfare then you'll probably start trimming down the number of sticks a day then resolve to finally quit the bad habit for good. That was my way in high school Quote Link to comment
jersey53carlos
Have you tried the electrnic one? MOST EFFECTIVE IS COLD TURKEY. DIFFICULT ONLY FOR A WEEK, IMAGINE DIFFICULTY FOR WEEK VS LIFETIME OF REGRETS. WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE? ELECTRONIC ONE NOT EFFECTIVE AS ITS JUST MIMIC SMOKING (LIKE CONDOM WITH SEX)., YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GO BACK TO THE REAL ONE. EVEN DANGEROUS AS THERE ARE NEWS IT EXPLODES AND TOXIC FROM SYNTHETIC MATERIAL IS NOT YET EVALUATION. COLD TURKEY, JUST STOP. Quote Link to comment

bougartt
I quit smoking because of the electronic cigarette. Don't get those cheap ones because they really have a tendency to explode. 1000 below.. Invest in one.. The one that costs 2500 and up.. I disagree that these liquids are not safe..we only use FDA approved ingredients so it is safe. The real test here is vape for a week, then on the 8th day try smoking a cigarette. If you dont like the taste by then, you know you are succesful. Quote Link to comment

Guns of the Patriots
I think there's a gum used as substitute for cigarettes.....can't remember it. Quote Link to comment
omg09
You just need something to divert your intention to.Smoking is just an oral fixation, if you get over it, it'll be easy to quit smoking. A hobby perhaps.A lover.Replacement for smoking like gum or candy.Activities you're dedicated to and you need to quit smoking for this activity. Quitting is just mind over matter, almost like everything else in this world. You just have to tell yourself you can do it. If you're planning on stopping, just do it step by step, like before a pack a day, after a week, try making it 15 sticks a week, then lower the number until you reach 0. (sounds easy but hard to do. well, as they say " Kung gusto may paraan, pag ayaw maraming dahilan '" Quote Link to comment

Edmond_Dantes
No single approach is effective for everyone. In my case, I went cold turkey. It's been almost 2 years since my last stick and it's my most successful attempt so far at quitting. I hope this lasts. Whatever approach to quitting you might take, the important factor is WILL POWER. Without the will to quit, then you will always succumb and relapse. Quote Link to comment
