simplyeric
Could any of you computer guru's please assist me in reformat the computer and update all the drivers. Sorry to admit it but I am a nincompoop when it comes to doing this. Could be so kind to go over the steps with me. Thanks in advancedell inspiron 1525.

Dell systems usually have a factore restore option. You need to press F8 then select repair your computer then Selec Dell Factory Image Restore Quote Link to comment

asado
Hi guys!Does anyone here know if I can still retrieve my files from my dead harddisc? Trying to do that with Ubuntu right now. I'll let you know if I succeeded. Quote Link to comment
evilson
Hi guys!Does anyone here know if I can still retrieve my files from my dead harddisc? If dead (as in di makita kahit sa disk manager or disk partition or kahit sa installation ng OS) i think malabo na (it happend to me before because of the defective power supply at super lakas na static electricity na nagagawa ng desktop casing) at i'm not sure kung me service center na gumagawa ng mga hard disk drive, kasi malamang kung hindi dead ang logic board, baka yung spindle nya na ang me tama however if you reformat it or naaksidente mo lang na nadelete yung partition, me 75% chance na marerecover mo yun (like what happend to my 300gb hard disk using recovermyfile but di lahat narecover) Quote Link to comment
kenazansuz
ang pwedeng gawin sa mga ganitong issue ay ilipat mo yung hard drive sa ibang computer at icheck mo kung kaya pang basahin yung files mo from there. ubuntu is a good OS to view and retrieve files. kaya lang kailangan naka install yung OS sa ibang HDD para siguradong walang magagalaw sa problematic mong hard disc. kung physical issue na yung HDD mo, as in hindi na madetect ng BIOS or hindi na nagpa power yung HDD, malabo na makuha files mo diyan. meron services na nagre-retrieve mo ng files para sa tulad ng binanggit ko pero lagpas triple ang singil nila kumpara bumili ka ng bagong hard drive. hindi ko din sure kung merong gumagawa niyan dito sa pilipinas dahil yung services na alam ko in terms of data retrieval ay nasa ibang bansa pa. No need na mag install ng Ubuntu OS. Pwede mo naman ma live cd.Though, I agree kenazansuz, physical issues. goodbye na talaga. Ex. a head crash. But one time, naka troubleshoot ako ng corrupted hard disk. Hndi mo ma format primary volume, corrupted na talaga. what i did was use a boot up avg with a test disk (not sure). Then makita mo ung mga corrupted files na pwede pa ma retrieve. wala ko na retrieve kasi nagkamali ako at na wipe out ko ang whole partition. But the good thing, na reformat ko na siya. Reminder. Also I think I found a program that retrieves deleted files. Nakalimutan ko na. But it exists and its free. Tyaga lang mag Google. Quote Link to comment

Google
saan ba pwede mag-trade in or magbenta ng lumang desktop PC?trade in to a newer PC? sa gilmore may mga shops na ganyan, pero malaki na din ang idadagdag mo. if you are looking to trade it to a newer or better spec'ed model, mas maganda pa siguro i-upgrade na lang.
