Las Vegas

Recommended Posts

This was eons ago but I remembered the Seafood Buffet at Rio was extremely delicious. I think I paid $30.0 at that time.

yep i definitely agree! i was stuffed to the brim with all the lobster i ate :) i stayed at Paris when i was there and it was nice... though mukhang mas maganda talaga sa Belagio and sa Mandalay... pero at least Paris was in the middle of the new strip...

word of advise, ingat lang sa mga nag-ooffer ng mga murang tickets to the shows :) ung mga time sharing b#llsh*t... nadale kami dun e, we wasted a whole afternoon... but at least we were able to get cheap Mamma Mia tickets :)

Came from a month long vacation in North America. Due to budget concerns I had to cancel my Mirage reservation and settled for Travelodge located at the strip. From a $200/night booking at Mirage I was able to cut down on my expenditures to $40/night. Don't expect much though staying in Travelodge...the location is good...but you can't compare the accomodtion or facilities with the hotels along the strip. We had Bear bites though every morning which is already inclusive kaya I think it's really cheap staying there. :)

More info on the outlet stores please. What are their names? their location?

And another question: Would it be possible to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon

in Arizona and return to LV in the evening? Just trying to maximize my stay here.

there are two outlet stores...one near stratosphere and one south of the strip, past the south strip bus terminal. mas bago ata yung sa may stratosphere, though not sure. napuntahan ko lang yung sa south ng strip. you can ride the deuce up to the bus terminal and then transfer to the south strip area bus. just ask kung saang platform yung pumupuntang outlet store.

Just did LV and wasn't able to do most of what I wanted to do mainly bec. I was travelling with my family and 5 days just isn't enough to go to all the sites this city could offer.

The sites I was able to see include:

The Skywalk along the Grand Canyon (2.5 hrs drive),

Hoover Dam (it was along the way to Arizona),

The Bellagio and its' fountain display,

The Venetian with its gondola ride,

the MGM and its lions,

the M&M factory for the kids' amusement (right beside the MGM),

and the Stratosphere Tower (just had to try the Big Shot- the ride that launches you up the tower)

Also brought my wife to the Premium Outlet Shops near Charleston Blvd. Didn't have time to go to Belz at the south near McCarran.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go to a girly show. I listed this pa naman as a must do. I guess this only means that I have to come back to this city.

Five day stay at the Venetian. Wonderful hotel the robes, the bed and the bath were the best part. Room was so great I did not want to leave. This is not a good casino for gambling.

Ate breakfast and dinner at the Bellagio’s buffet, great food and service. Next trip I will try the Rio.

You can take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and be back by dark.

I think O is the best show in Vegas. Book early because it will sell out.

Go to the Hilton and join the player’s club for free. You get a change to win a million dollars.

Do not take a taxi at rush hour or on a Friday or Saturday night. To much traffic.

I enjoy watching shows in Las Vegas especially Cirque de Soleil and La Femme. Try going to a place there where you can buy ticket at half price, the place is always shown in travel guide you pick up there. Shopping has also become fantastic in Las Vegas, I like the one in Ceasars Palace and the big Mall.

We stayed kung saan may points mga barkada. Stayed imperial loong time ago, it's along the strip. There's one, very convenient doon sa ala MRT (forget how they call it). MGM was like staying at Shangrila. But hey, you need to be walking more than staying in bed while in Vegas. :hypocritesmiley:
