If you change oil every 5000kms and your car is not modified for racing then regular motor oil is enough. You need to check the oil rating your car needs for ex. 2002 cars needs oil with SJ rating only. If you buy certain brands like castrol or shell you will notice that the oil rating of their regular motor oil is already at SL which means it is more than what your car needs. Therefore there is no need to buy synthetic oil.

Fully synthetic oil , since is maintain by casa and they recommended.

pag mineral oil kasi ilan kms lang change oil ka na agad.. di tulad ng fully synthetic mas matagal ang span nya. and kms to be covered. all oils naman may corresponding span of months and kms run.

I'd go for the semi-synthetic oil.

 

Great for everyday use.

 

Not too disposable as mineral, not to expensive as fully-synthetic.

FYI po. before switching to fully synthetic oil (from mineral based oil) make sure na OK pa ang condition ng mga oil seals and gaskets ng engine ng car, otherwise, expect oil leaks here and there. so kung medyo old na ang engine, have those seals and gaskets replaced before pouring in the fully synth oil...

 

semi-synthetic oil lang gamit ko pero change-oil every 5K. this way regular ko nache-check ang underside ng auto and others.....

Synthetic is engineered to perform better. Consistent ang kapal kahit high temperatures, doesnt degrade as fast as mineral oils, better detergency. Mas mahal nga lang, altho kung kaunti lang budget, semi synthetic is a compromise.

fully synthetic gamit ko, lampas na 6 months ang ganda pa ng itsura ng oil, pwede ba filter lang muna palitan ko?

 

kasi ganda pa ng oil, ang linaw at dipa malapot, nag- add lang ako once in a while

never tried semi or fully synthetic before. pero reading the posts on this thread, mukhang okay ang value ng synthetic. masubukan nga!
