junix
Tama nga...........HYPE lang ang pagka MVP ni Curry.....................ayon duon sa isa HYPE pala yung ganito sa isang GAME 7 boss? if you score 30+ points, give out 8 assists and grab 5 rebounds in a do-or-die series...if you deliver when your team needs you the most...if you make your team good because of your excellent plays, and somebody calls you a hype, then i don't really know the definition of what hype is. baka alam nung isang magaling dito ang definition ng hype nyahahaha Edited May 31, 2016 by junix Quote Link to comment

junix
it will be difficult to sweep anyone in the finals....If only for the fans who appreciate their basketball, i hope this finals goes the distance. Definitely it will be difficult for either gsw or cavs to win via a sweep. In fact i believe there will be no sweep for this finals. Quote Link to comment
deathscythe0402
my forecast: GSW in 6 Quote Link to comment
top secret
That is why Basketball is a TEAM game... because they all need each other... but you still cannot deny that somebody has to lead the team... and for GSW.. that's Steph Curry. I just don't know why there are "experts" here who still cannot appreciate what Curry does to his team. The panel has voted "UNANIMOUSLY" Even Klay Thompson acknowledges Curry as their MVP. top secret
Basketball 101: The figures on the scoreboard are the most important numbers. It is about scoring (shooting). It is the points that win games. The stat-sheet is also important... you could fill them with rebounds, assists, blocks, steals, etc...but if they don't reflect on the score board... they are of little value. Defense is also important... but it just plays second fiddle to offense... because at the end of the day... the team with the higher score (offense) wins the game. As far as players are concerned... the scorers are the most important part of the team because it is their points that reflects on the scoreboard. You don't build a team around a defensive player.. the scorer is always the cornerstone and foundation of any champion team. Curry's impact on his team is primarily on offense (scoring, assisting, controlling their offense) and he excels on that. He has seen a variety of defensive strategies thrown at him... he could be slowed down for a game or two... but in a long series.. he is always able to solve the problem and be a big time scorer that he is. He is not a lock-down defensive player. That's why they have Bogut, Igoudala, Green and Thompson. His main contribution on defense is guarding the passing lanes (steals) and providing extra pressure via double team. And again... the panel has voted UNANIMOUSLY. Curry is the MVP... and it is not just a hype. He delivers an MVP game when it really matters. Edited May 31, 2016 by top secret Quote Link to comment
Dindon
Come on. Pag hater talaga di makapagbigay ng credit where its due. curry does play defense. May mga time lang talagang mismatch kasi undersized at less physically gifted. Pero tingnan nyo yun game 5 huling mga minutong defense niya kay durant, nakasteal pa off the dribble. Tell me he doesnt give effort on the defensive end. If anything si westbrook ang overrated and defense. 1 Quote Link to comment

CirocBoy
Of course it wouldn't make sense to put your best offensive option to guard the opposing team's guard knowing the fact that somebody else can do a better job containing or making it difficult to make baskets. Why would you want to him to exert more effort in playing defense?! That's not his strong suit but that doesn't mean he doesn't play it. Curry himself admitted he's not their best guard defender and he said he's fortunate to play along side Klay Thompson, who's definitely bigger and more athletic compared to him. Plus, it's the NBA for f#&k's sake. Nobody can guard anybody one on one on defense, unless you're Kawaii, especially those names that you mentioned. Individual defense wouldn't matter if you can't play team defense. You're so high on Westbrook, yes, he can score, dish out assists, crash the boards, and all that, but did he win? Did he score efficiently? How many shots did he put up to get that score? What's his +/-? What's his assist to turnover ratio? Also, I knew, way back when he was playing for Davidson, that defense isn't his forte. He wasn't athletic enough even before,so whether you pointed it out or not, it wouldn't matter.
Well... as they say... LOSERS are always BITTER! No amount of explanation of basketball facts could convince them because their bitterness has closed their minds. Enjoy the Finals folks! My prediction? It's GSW in 6 or 7! Edited June 1, 2016 by top secret 1 Quote Link to comment
