Subic is honestly one of the most underrated quick escapes from Manila, the infrastructure is good, the Boardwalk area has decent food options, and Zoobic Safari plus the waterpark combo makes it easy to bring the whole family without burning your budget. Clark on the other hand is better for the food scene, Korean Town has a lot of solid options, and the outlet stores are a nice bonus if you want to shop. For Zambales budget resorts, Crystal Beach and Liwliwa area tend to be the go-to for walk-in or affordable bookings, though you'd want to call ahead on weekends. Anyone been to the Flavors of Subic Bay food festival recently and worth checking out?
