Pepeng Manas
personally, i think WCF is a long shot. but playoffs, a possibility. might be another first round exit, tho'. running game of rockets look good vs SAS in the preseason. and chase budinger... wow! hope he can keep it up. Pepeng Manas
Yao is out for the season this team should trade for a center.bro, if you'd followed the rockets organization, they've been very busy lately. i think daryl morey did another outstanding job rebuilding (of some sort) after yao went down. they're gonna be a faster team this season. sure david andersen and joey dorsey won't be another yao (monster underneath plus intimidating defense), but they have a pretty decent line-up. and if chase budinger continues to play like he did in college, more recently the d-league and the preseason, then morey is really the master of finding diamonds in the rough. plus the pieces that gave the champs a good challenge is still here -- luis scola, battier, AB, landry. besides, they cannot get any superstar center that easily. they're already over the cap space, and they've even filed for a cap extension (just forgot the term for it ) for the injured players. and if they're really gonna push to go after a superstar center, they will have to let go of some valuable pieces in the line-up (im not referring to tmac... just to be clear ), because the other team's gonna want something good for it in return. besides, (superstar) centers are hard to come by these days. again, im not predicting this team to make it to the WCF (nobody is)... but i think a playoff berth is realistic enough and i'll be happy if they do just that. if they fail to reach playoffs, nothing lost... because nobody is really giving them a chance anyway. peace, bro. _eRon_
lost to the magic in the 1st preseason game..rockets are still not in full strength but took the game to the magic..good games by the 2 rookies..go rockets!!! Quote Link to comment
Pepeng Manas
lost to the magic in the 1st preseason game..rockets are still not in full strength but took the game to the magic..good games by the 2 rookies..go rockets!!! bro, that was not the 1st preseason game for the rockets. rockets are actually 2-1. they beat the spurs (televised on btv), then the celts... and then lost to orlando. got close and even took the lead in the third against magic after being down by as much as 17, but still came out short. --- is the NBA Stock Exchange still around? if it is, then don't overlook Chase Budinger. i remember someone in this forum having a good deal with Von Wafer last season. now, i have a pretty good feeling it's gonna be Budinger. although, i don't play the Stock Exchange. _eRon_
ah tlga, 3rd game ng preseason na pala yun, galing ah kung natalo nila 2 championship contending team sa spurs at celts, sayang nga yun game against magic, kaya na dapat nila yun clutch shooting lang si nelson at si lewis... Pepeng Manas
^problem is... the spurs didn't play TP & TD. they only played manu, which was just to test his legs probably. but with the celts, they played their big 3... err... big 4 with decent minutes. not the average on a regular season, but decent minutes. sa orlando naman, yun ang nakakatakot... kasi di pa nila pinalaro si DH non. on the other hand naman, Rox didn't play Scola (or at least i didn't see him play) at di pa naglalaro si Battier. puro rookies pinapalaro. darksoulriver
Interesting Coach Adelmann considering Chuck Hayes will be the replacement center for Houston... with a height of 6'6" Considering the possible plan of Rockets Management to rest Yao for the rest of the season! KingOfTheSouth
I think 2009 wil be Ariza's breakout year, like 2007 was for B.Roy and 2008 was for Granger & Harris. Eka nga ni Idol Binoy, "Eto na ang break mo, kagatin mo." Quote Link to comment

Pepeng Manas
whos david anderson???? he tops d team in a loss to bucks.......australian center, 6'11" or 7'. i think he has championships on other leagues. good shooter. but don't expect him to bang bodies with DH or Shaq and live. :D well... we'll take what we can get as a center. not too much option for it with the rockets' current situation. nandyan naman si Joey Dorsey, Chuck Hayes, Pops Mensah-Bonsu kaya maraming balang pang-foul. :D budinger does have game. sana lang di sya mawala sa rotation pagbalik ni t-mac & battier.same here. this kid has potential! Pepeng Manas
http://sports.yahoo.com//video/player/nba/...ts_NBA_Coveragei remember early last season, rafer alston and ron artest had a little argument (of some sort) on a play. it seems like rafer expected the ball to come back to him after his pass to ron and cutting, because (i assume) that was how the play was supposed to go... but it didn't. rafer raised both his hands like saying 'what's this?' if he was kobe or lebron, he can do whatever the heck he want with the ball... but he's ron... a defensive specialist. maybe phil can handle ron better... i hope. --- big loss to the pacers... but this is still preseason, and rick is still experimenting with the new players. pops, tho', got a very nice game against the raptors. if he keeps it up... Yao who?... ...nah, just kidding. i still miss yao. Edited October 17, 2009 by Pepeng Manas Quote Link to comment
