mstabs
2005 bought my innova at toyota q ave. bagong labas lang yung innova that time. may warranty period i think 2 or 3 years. hindi pa tapos warranty parang fluctuating yung rpm kapag naka-idling and minsan kapg umandar medyo hihina yung makina. every 5 thousand km oil change sa toyota q ave. so i reported the problem with the staff. nung nakuha ko na yung innova sabi sa akin nung sa service is kulang lang daw sa tune up. nawala naman yung problema pero balik din after sometime. makailang beses ko dinala a toyota q ave for service then mawawala and babalik din yung problem. this went on hanggang matapos yung warranty period. nung binalik ko with the same problem i was anticipating na for tune up. then sabi sa akin nung sa service is may problem daw sa fuel system and it would cost 70 to 80 thousand kasi out of waranty na papalitan yung buo. sabi ko same recurring problem naman yun and always i was advised na kulang sa tune up bakit ngayon iba na? wala daw sila magagwa kasi yun daw yung findings ng mechanic. may bayaw ako na nasa automobile business na marami kakilala sa banawe. meron isang shop doon na nagbebenta ng genuine toyota parts na ang mekaniko dating taga toyota daw. so tiningnan nya sabi nya ang problem is yung electronic fuel something. natwa pa sya nung sabi ko na palaging tune up yan sa q ave. sabi nya hindi naman daw yan na-tu-tuneup kasi fuel injected yan and controlled ng computer box. naisip ko lang ang hirap pala kapg hindi ka maalam sa kotse. anyways may pinabili sya na part halagang mga 5 to 6 thousand pesos. nung nakabit na may ginawa sya sa computer box. since then taon na lumipas hindi na ulit pumalya yung makina. gamit lang gamit except for change oil. hindi na ako ulit bumalik sa q ave. hinding hindi na ako ulit bibili ng kotse doon and pati mga friends ko na mahilig magpalit ng kotse na-discourage ko na rin dyan sa toyotq q ave dahil sa experience ko dyan. akira01zakura
Tried and tested Toyota dealer for me is Shaw Blvd. We had 6 Toyota cages. 5 of the were bought at Shaw. And guess what? The only one Toyota cage that had a problem was bought at Q.Ave. (problem was not the car but with the service of said CASA.) This is the story: Year 2003, we bought 2 Toyotas. Rav4 at Shaw and Revo at Q.Ave. Usually, after the warranty sa labas na kami nag me-maintain ng PMS ng mga sasakyan. Anyways, second PMS na ng Revo namin so dinala ko na ito sa Q.Ave. first thing in the morning. Unluckily, mahaba na ang pila. So the SA told me na baka hapon ko na makuha yung sasakyan. I agree naman, kasi I was meeting someone near the place. After paying the bill, pinuntahan ko sa releasing. First off, I noticed that there is something wrong with the disc brake. Para ata ang dumi-dumi. Upon closer inspection, it wasn't dirt, IT WAS RUST! RUST!!!!!!!!!!!! And lo and behold both front discs have rust! I immediately notified the SA in charge. Told the SA na yung mga nauna naming toyota never nagkaganyan, kinalawang lamang yun after YEARS hindi 6months! After that, mukhang okay na ulit yung discs ko. FastForward to year 2006, I replaced all 4 tires nung REVO, kasi I was selling it na to get the Fort. So there I were at Banawe, at nagpapapalit ng gulong. Malay ko was my answer. Then it dawned on me the incident about the rust. MAYBE they replaced it with a much older one. Now, December 2006, my good friend bought a Innova at Q.Ave. Maarte itong taong ito pag dating sa sasakyan, so he followed the PMS by the book lahat sa Q.Ave. One day, naka-atras sya ng poste, although very minimal damage, he tried to check the spare tire kung hindi nadale ang mechanism nito pag ibababa. And his Innova is a "G" variant! I told him kagad na bat ganyan. So he called his sales agent at sinagot daw sya na ganun daw talaga ang spare tire. TskTskTsk! So tinawagan ko ang mga suki kong SA at agents sa Toyota Shaw and confirmed that the spare tire of the "G" variant should have the same rim na nakakabit sa kotse. The agent insisted na ganon daw talaga. May sinama pang isang agent din and they both confirmed na "J" variant rim ang nakakabit. This irked me. This made the 2 agent spologetic and promised us that they will replaced the spare rim/tire. After 2 days of complaining via phone nung friend ko, the agent told that the spare rim/tire is now at Toyota Shaw at pwede ng kunin, iwan na lang daw yung nakakabit. Sinamahan ko ulit sya. Upon arriving, yung mga suki ko noticed me and asked kung kukuha ulit kami? hehehe. "Hindi, sinamahan ko lang tong kaibigan ko." and told them the story. To which they replied, "Naku sir, pasensya na kayo, susunod wag na kayo babalik o kukuha sa Q.Ave. Lahat ng personnel ng Toyota na may bad records dun dinadala." Ang nangyare pala eh, kinuha nung agent ng friend ko yung spare tire nung inoova nya and replaced it with a lower class, at ibinenta. I am also a happy customer of TOYOTA PASIG (Same dealer owner ng SHAW) I already claimed 3 insurance repairs in the past 3 years, Car Re-Paint and Dent repairs lang nmn ung sakin and wala nmn back job na nangyari. Very accommodating rin ung Paint and Body Department nila and mabilis ung process, although their office is like a battle zone, very very busy and labas pasok lagi mga employees and clients. they even call me after a week to rate ung nag handle na staff nila and if may ibang concerns pa. Also the repairs has a 1 month warranty. So in my case, wala naman ako na experience na problem sa Casa ko. Quote Link to comment

Yuri 2
I own a yaris, Yung firstgen nila dto. At least 120,000 km na sya today, so far no major problems, gastos ko LNG mga consumables, tires, oil seals replacement, tbu cleaning. Sa Toyota manila bay pms at oil change nya. They delivered on their promise time naman. Yung aircon maintenance ko ay Sa coolmate. I never entrust it to a regular shop. Better to maintain it this way. In maintenance, I always look and search for the best. Edited July 5, 2014 by Yuri 2 Quote Link to comment
Mr. Black
sobrang bulok talaga dyan sa quezon avenue toyota.. had my car repaired sa q ave, more than a month na wala pa nasimulan tapos sabayan mo pa ng insurance na bwiset.. they assigned a person who was supposed to be resigned already? malapit ko na nga suntukin yung mga clerk at insurance agent dun.. if ever bibili pako ng toyot, huwag na sa q ave. I have a friend who works there pero wala rin nangyari.. never buy sa toyota q ave.. may isa pakong kapitbahay nag work dun sabi lahat ng kalokohan na pwedeng magawa ay dun ginagawa.. mayabang kasi sila because of their reputation for durability before pero doesnt apply na ata today.. id rather buy a honda na lang next time with better resale value, its more expensive pero if you have money to buy a brand new toyota you probably can squeeze in a little more for a honda.. the stress of dealing with toyota q ave is not worth the reputation of reliability they are holding on to.. marami na pong nagsasabi nito....very common na itong experience na ito sa Toyota Q.Ave.Beware sa dealer na ito....Toyota sa North Edsa....super galing....naiibang Toyota dealer Quote Link to comment
BarryBarr
Used to have 2 Toyota Altis (2006 & 2011). Both were ok in performance since I had them properly maintained till I sold them both. What I noticed though with Toyota cars is that they are highly priced compared to other brands with the same feature with regards to stereos, GPS, fog lamps, sensors etc. This lack is just compensated with the fact that Toyota cars are easy to sell and parts are easily available if you need them. Also, there are a lot of service centers you can bring your car to for preventive maintenance and the price for maintenance is reasonable enough. Quote Link to comment

dirk.diggler
This happened a few years back. My friend's dad had his innova serviced at toyota cubao for routine check up. They told him to come back after a few days to pick up his vehicle. So he went back on the said date. when he arrived, the vehicle wasn't released yet & told him to wait. After an hour or so, he noticed na nagkukumpulan yung mga staff ng toyota cubao. Eventually, the manager went up to him & said that they couldn't find his innova!!! His innova was missing!!! My friend's dad demanded that they replace his innova. After 10 days, they replaced it w/ a brand new innova. But still, di ko pa din maisip kung pano nawala yung innova sa loob pa ng casa mismo! chyrsller
Just a little heads up for those who have or are planning to buy a Toyota car. Our 1.6 Toyota Altis automatic was bought way back in 2002, I personally liked the huge body and style of the car. And because it was a Toyota I was expected it to live up to the Toyota standards of quality and longevity. Fast forward to the present... its 2007 and our cars has about 40,000 kilometers on it, which in my opinion isn't a lot. But lo and behold, the car suddenly becomes sluggish and has black smoke coming out of the muffler. But when brought to Toyota Quezon Avenue for a check up is given a clean bill of health (change oil lang daw). 2 days later my driver reported that during his daily checklist routine he found that the car had no more oil in it! A fact confirmed by Toyota Quezon Avenue when I brought it to them that same day, and guess what else they told me. They said I needed to have my engine overhauled. OVERHAULED!!! When 2 days ago it was given a clean bill of health and when the car only has 40,000kms on it. I opted to have my car fixed at a auto shop my friend (who used to work for toyota) recommended. In short I spent 40K or so on the car. Sucks aint it. But this isnt just a rant about my personal experience. Because I know of another person who had the same exact trouble on his car. He is a very good friend from high school who I met a few weeks ago during our group reunion. He casually mentioned his complaints about his toyota to which I asked for more details. Turns out he bought his toyota on the same year as I did, but get this. His car only has 18,000kms on it. Same symptoms (sluggishness, black smoke) and exact same diagnosis from Toyota Quezon Avenue , complete overhaul; where my friend spent in excess of 100k. To get to the bottom of this I went back to the head mechanic of the auto shop I brought my car to. He used to work for Toyota and he said the people at toyota did admit to him of certain design flaws in the engine. Specifically he said that the oil pump of the car is too small and this is the main cause of engine failure. Since the oil pump is too small it cannot circulate the oil throughout the engine and as any mechanic knows, this will definitely cause the engine to need a premature overhaul. He also said this doesn't just apply to the Toyota Altis but to all cars in their stable that has 1.6 and lower engines (Altis, Vios and the new one which I forget what its called) . Only the 1.8L Altis is said to be free from this defect. So a word of warning to all potential car buyers out there. Just remember a brand name is just that, and is never a guarantee of quality.
