mobsglax
The V700 sounds great, but only while they last! They're surprisingly delicate for what are supposed to be DJ headphones. As you can see in the pictures, my pair 3-year old pair of V700's have seen better days. The hinges on the swivel mechanism have broken, and are now only held together with super glue and zip ties. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s163/JoeStash/IMG_0562.jpg The foam padding has now gone flat, and no longer offer cushion. The black resin has also started to chip off. They're actually pretty uncomfortable to wear now. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s163/JoeStash/IMG_0560.jpg Try the MDR7506 instead! [LINK] Try both at the store if they allow you. Let me know what you've come up with! at least it lasted for 3 years cheers Quote Link to comment

Yama
I got this Bose TriPort headphones for my birthday not too long ago. They're plenty comfortable, and sound quality is right where it should be for a pair of $160 headphones. Though I would've gotten a noise-canceling Sony MDR-NC60 if I was given cash! Still, I can't complain. Build quality seems to be a lot better now than the previous generation (over ear) TriPort which was notorious for cracking/breaking. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s163/JoeStash/IMG_0528.jpg Yes, there are plenty other mid-end closed phones that doesnt have the marketing along its price tag.
