I disliked the positional games employed by karpov and kasparov, as it delineated into who memorizes the most variations wins. For Tal, chess was ironically exciting. Google his games if you like po. It is too bad we never saw him play Karpov for the championship in 1975. Kasparov and Kramnik may be a close second. Quote Link to comment
