But I like Wolfgang better than Razorback.

Simply because I enjoy reading and understanding the lyrics of their songs as much as listening to their music.

wolfgang is metal through and through - iron maiden, metallica, etc.

 

very different in terms of song writing for both music and lyrics.

 

it's like comparing The Roots to Jay Z

i see what you mean, my point of reference was the first wolfgang album and razorback's hebigat sounds, the southern rock comparison makes sense though, curiously although i've always been a fan of southern redneck rock , i have never made that connection with what razorback was trying to do musically they always sounded like the maskara era juan de cruz to my ears, but then i guess they took their music to different territory like all serious bands tend to do.... its just that maybe i have not heard their recent work. thanks man ( 3 more posts to go)
