For long travels I prefer the backpack. Can pack a lot in it, especially for the occasional overseas trip.

 

For the daily commute though, the shoulder bag is better, especially if you have to ride the MRT.

10 years ago when notebooks used to cost 100k or more, it's 'wise' to use a plain-looking bag for it. now that notebooks are passe and the prices have dropped tremendously, putting them in fashionable bags is in. after all, part of the reason why you bought that laptop is 'para i-porma', di ba? well, if you plan to bring in the charger as well, better buy a bag with extra pocket for it. but if your intention is limited to flaunting it, better leave the charger home

 

it's always practical to use a backpack (as long as its sleeves inside are adequate to protect your laptop), especially in travels. the charger and wires that go with it will add excess baggage and bulk in your designer shoulder bag.

check out "timbuk2 hacker" sa bratpack shops. pede sya shoulder bag at pede sya backpack. waterproof and with corduroy laptop compartment. :cool:

personally ang hirap gamitin ang shoulder bag with a big laptop, so gamit ko backpack. but i guess kung netbook lang naman dala mo eh shoulder bag's good enough!

Mas ok para sa akin ang backpack. Comfortable at di halata na laptop ang bitbit ko. Yun nga lang, pag may management meeting or workshop ako na pupuntahan na medyo formal, hindi mukang professional dating ko.

I prefer using my Backpack. But sometimes, ginagamit ko din yung shoulder bag. Medyo hassle din kasi pag ipapakita sa guard pag kailangan iinspect yung backpack eh.

North face backpacks.durable, can pack many things inside especially for 3-4 days trips and doesn't look like there's a gadget inside.

 

Pacsafe is also good.durable and there's anti-theft cables and wire mesh inside.

Im using a Jokeley (fake Oakley) backpack laptop bag I bought from Thailand a couple of years ago. Ok pa naman. Haha

Backpack for 3 reasons:

1. even weight distribution on my back

2. harder for a snatcher to grab from me

3. easier to ride a bike with a backpack than a shoulder bag

My netbook is just 10 inches, so I am using a normal handbag for it - para di halatang may netbook sa loob.
