floppydrive
maganda nga ang Safeguard-2XU run... nice freebies... especially the calves compression (PhP1500 na ito)... at sa leg 3, aba'y akalain mo na sapatos ang freebie (don't know the brand/quality/foot type of this shoe though)... hehe I'm already having second thoughts to this event... I still have the 21K racekit. LITE kasi walang medal at walang shirt. 30 kits for 42K & 60 kits for 21K. Quote Link to comment

floppydrive
had a great 6km run at earlier this morning at Condura Skyway marathon.very well organized yung event, good hydration stations, ang daming medics team to assists sa lahat ng needs ng runners, at mababait yung marshalls. unofficial time 43:30++. The Condura Skyway Marathon was indeed well organized. Even though the first 3 km and last 3km is very narrow, the sending off of runners in batches of 250 every 2.5 minutes was good to prvent congestion. Plenty of water stations, plus there was 100 Plus also. There were medics almost every km. There were girls in costumes to cheer on the 42km runners, and upon a closer look, talagang magigising ka! OMG! Saang bar nila pinagkukukuha yung mga yun! They had see through dresses, bu it was so dark I couldn't exactly say what they had under! Parang may sequince yata yung suot sa ilalim!!!! Dumadami na eye candy runners sa 21K at 42K! Pero masmarami sa 10K, 6K at 3.8K! ;-D Weather was perfect for a run - cool temp of 24-26 degrees, light breeze from midnight to sunrise. Nice cloud cover until 7am. Distance markers were spot on, and there were markers at every KM for all distances! The medals! Grabe! Ang bigat nung 42K medal! Sakit sa leeg! The Condura Village was a good end for the run. There were plenty of sponsors' booths offering all sorts of discounted items. Even Yurbuds was giving a 20% discount this morning! Sayang nga lang wala akong perang dala. Ni Tapa King hindi makabili. hehehe Great event! Sana ganito ulit next year. Crossed the finish line in 6:32 unofficial. Sa dami ng tao, ang hirap magkita-kita! Sayang hindi ako nakaabot sa EB. Disclaimer: This FR was written while still on a runners high! hehehe Edited February 3, 2013 by floppydrive Quote Link to comment
MrEnygma
Also had a good 21km run earlier... @dungeonbaby: yup dapat tulog na ko ng time na yun (~9pm), pero excited ako e... hehe... starstudded run, cool weather, well organized, giving it a 9.5/10 score overall the only problem I've encountered is of course, he gradual climb ang the final 3 km finish with no hyration at the skyway (one-way lang kasi yung part na yun at di na kasya ang hydration station... di na ko nakapagtext sa ibang MTC members kasi ng dahil hindi ako makatulog kagabi, antok na antok ako after ng race kaya umuwi na ako agad after getting my lootbag, water, century tuna sampler, coco water sampler and (the best giveaway) Corneto. sa RU1 na lang po, isang lugar lang ang meeting place namin nina Turk at ppdd dun... Army Navy. Quote Link to comment
wyette
I ran my very first and surely not the last full marathon today. Makapal ata talaga mukha ko for trying it after only running my first half marathon 2 weeks ago. But at least i disproved people who told me i cannot level up from my mere 5-10km distance running. Yes, may nanglait po sakin kaya "napilitan"akong mag train and mag psych up mentally to level up to a full marathon in just 3months. . I am not so proud of my FM time though, as i have finished at 7 hours. Okay yung first half e, i even broke my last record of a 21km. But the last 7 kms of that 42 kms was the longest 7kms i ever ran. Akala ko, i am giving up na. Well, i already thought of giving up. Masakit na left leg up to toes ko, it was not cramping pero masakit talaga. I wanted to cry na at the last 4kms. Buti, i texted my sister whom i know was waiting for me at the finish line and a friend. Sabi ko, paramg ayaw ko na. They cheered me on. Yung sis ko, praning, everytime daw she hears sirens of an ambulance, tinitingnan nya agad ang phones nya since i placed her name sa ICE sa bib ko. the last kilometer was crucial. I kept on praying na lang talaga to make me finish... and not make me finish last. haha When i saw my friends about 100meters from the finish line, and they were cheering me on, i had to let go of the pagmumura that is building up inside me. Hahaha i was so relieved and napawi lahat ng pagod ko as i cross the finish line though. The condura skyway marathon was indeed a success. Well, with the number of participants, who would not think so? I cannot compare it to any other races since it was just my first. Hydration has good as for the 42km runners. Yung iba kasi di na malamig, so i opted for the 100plus instead which made me feel so bloated naman (mataba na nga,, bloated pa! ). Bananas were overflowing kaso sa 21km distance na. Naabutan na ako ng merging ng 21k, 10k and the 5k runners so the last 3kms, hindi na mahangin rin also because of the narrowing of the road. Or were they really gays? Haha Quote Link to comment

Not sure if they were gals or gays, pero sa boses nila maspapanig ako sa gals. hehehe! Congratulations again on your first FM! Bow ako sa iyo! Quote Link to comment
