And ano po yung pwedeng maging problem sa reading ng FBS if ma-over fasting? Assume di mo sinabi sa med tech: Pag nag over fast ka yung katawan mo magugutom on a cellular level at gagawa sya ng emergency sugar gamit fat reserves mo sa body. Temporarily tataas ang blood sugar mo to compensate. Pag sinukatan ka ng fbs, yun ang makikita at masasabing madami ang blood sugar mo sa katawan normally kahit wala kang kinakain (which is a false positive). Same reason sa tubig, mababago nya yung concentration ng blood sugar mo. Mababago ang interpretation. Quote Link to comment

id6230
Synthetic sugar is the main culprit for diabetes. It is pretty much in everything that we eat. So just be mindful on what you put inside your body. Quote Link to comment

voidseeker
Zero sugar and "light" soda isn't really all that healthy. Though for the diabetics here, what do you guys use for your daily monitoring of blood glucose? 1 Quote Link to comment

Liquid Dream
Seems like I am addicted to coke during this pandemic. I always have 1.5 liters and some in can also. 3 glasses of coke a day, is it bad? any alternative? Edited November 3, 2021 by Liquid Dream 1 Quote Link to comment
MODERATOR Ariana Posted November 4, 2021 MODERATOR Share Posted November 4, 2021 1 can of Coke has 9 teaspoons of sugar, 9x3=27 teaspoons of sugar. I suggest stepping stone ka muna sa diet coke, then after a few days bawasan mo na ang diet coke, after a week more cold water ka na lang. Our bodies were not made to process that much sugar. If you're wondering what is the natural sugar intake of humans... imagine an ape eating in the wild... that's the natural sugar level, you just get the sugars from plants and fruits, hindi aabot sa 1 teaspoon of sugar per day. Nabilang mo din ba ang sugar sa cakes and milk tea mo? sugar dami pinag tataguan, kahit sa tinapay may sugar! First things first, buy diet coke for now, para mag start ka na sa journey mo. Ilan beses na confine sa hospital. Ako T2 Diabetic na, Dati almost once a day lang coke ko. Kala ko kasi basta mag coke ako then uminom ako ng madaming tubig then iooffset niya ung sugar. Alternative? I guess soda water then lagyan mo ng kalamansi and honey. Or if ayaw mo coke zero which has no sugar (as per the label) pero limit it to once a day, tapos once a week, then once a month. Hanggang sa mawala na siya sa system mo. I know hinahanap hanap ng katawan yan if bigla mong istop. Pero kelangan as it will be very harmful to your body. Quote Link to comment
